It's not the 50th Annual Seafood Festival. That festival ended in or around 2009. The Seafood festival was always done by the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce until they discontinued over greediness by Chincoteague and the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce.
ReplyDeleteThe next year the Chicoteague Seafood Festival started their own Seafood Festival and theirs has only been going on for about 8 years.
It's a fraud and it's not as good. The original Seafood Festival was always held on the first Wednesday of May and not the first Saturday. There has always been conflicts with other events going on the first Saturday of May so for one this is a horrible time to put on the Seafood Festival.
