Together we fought some incredible challenges. Together we stood our ground and fought for what we believed in. Together we supported multiple candidates and while we may have separated right here on SBYNews as a team, we've remained friends and I always admired her independence and firm stance on politics. Donna was one of "The Dirty Dozen". Our dear friend Donna passed away Sunday morning.
Ladies & Gentlemen, Donna Ennis was fighting a major battle outside the political arena, this time it was for her own life. Donna battled cancer. Please keep her Family in your thoughts and prayers. Donna was a Patriot who served our country in the Coast Guard as well as the Republican Party right here on the Eastern Shore.
R.I.P. my dear friend.
Donna was incredibly strong and committed to her family and her friends. A veteran, a conservative and a patriot. She told it like it was and would hold you accountable no matter who you were. The spunk and leadership Donna possessed was something we should all hold to aspire carry on. Rest in Peace Donna, you will me missed by the many lives you touched, molded and influenced.
ReplyDeleteWe'll miss you, Donna.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all that you've done and what a great person you've been.
Joe - so sorry to hear this. Didn't know she was so ill. Sorry for your loss and what the rest of us have lost by her passing. I found her to be a wonderful person who stood up for her beliefs. God Bless her and her family.
ReplyDeleteWe'll miss you Donna. You worked hard for the Wicomico County Fair and the Wicomico Farm and Home Show. Your intelligence in computer matters was awesome and you brought all that knowledge with you to help our Fair be what it is today. We'll miss you at our board meetings for sure, but we will probably get out earlier since we won't have you to comment or ask questions about everything. RIP Donna, you are already missed.
ReplyDeleteDonna was an angel among us. A kind heart, a passion for service, country, and family. The best friend anyone could ever have. Honest, loyal, hard working. My prayers go out for her family as they grieve thie tremendous loss of a wife, mom, grandmother, aunt and a person we are all better for having known. RIP, cherished friend.
ReplyDeleteDonna my heart breaks that you have left us...your strength and courage will always be a reminder to me to stand and fight for what i believe in and your voice will carry on through us. My prayers to you family. You will be truly missed, you were a inspiration to all that knew you. I loved your spunk and courage and your tell it like it is stance. As we move forward as we go along fighting the fight that you fought so hard for...you will be there with us. Forever on our minds and in our hearts. I will miss you Donna! Thank you so much for remembering Donna , Joe. She was a force to be reckoned with. Told it like it was and had a way with words all of her own. Over the past year Donna had become a trusted adviser concerning everything from home remedies, cooking, family and the beast of Eastern Shore Politics. She went too fast and too soon. Last month I was with her when they moved around from room to room and she had the bests outlook even though you could see a little doubt in her eyes about what was happening next. She kept all the Doctors and nurses laughing and even had them bring me some dinner to while we were chatting. While she gave her husband shopping tips to her right she was giving me a to do list as well...and make you and don't forget to.. A mile a minute- there was nothing she could not do! She will be missed by so many in the community. Rest in Peace Ms. Donna we love you ~ Michelle

ReplyDeleteHaving such an awesome mom, grandma, wife, aunt, friend makes it even more difficult to lose them. Donna was all that and more. If I had to choose one word it would be “genuine.” I pray for her family and all of us who were blessed to have her in our lives that we will rejoice in her time with us (although too brief) and do her legacy justice as we live and lead through her lessons.
DeleteShe will be difficult to replace. Today's young adults don't have any interest in how we are governed as long as they get their dole.
