A petition calling for a boycott of late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s show reached more than 150,000 signatures Monday after he mocked first lady Melania Trump’s accent and intelligence last week.
Signers are vowing to boycott the show because they say Kimmel calls for tolerance of all immigrants, legal and not, but then mocked the first lady’s Slovenian accent.
The creators of the petition, whose goal at 50,000 has more than tripled, say it will be sent to the front door of Disney’s ABC Studios in Burbank, Calif.

Where is DE Joe when he could finally be useful for the first time in his life. Take that punk "Kid Kim" out back with your bad self. You always brag about "Trump Thumping", let's see what you got ole boy.
ReplyDeleteSo...
ReplyDeletePetitioning to boycott Kimmel because we don't like his politics or what he said, in an attempt to remove him or hurt his advertising... that's o.k., that's a win.
But doing the same to Laura Ingrahm because of her politics or what she said, is not ok? It's punishing her for free speech? We should be upset about that?
I'm confused... is it too much to ask for a bit of consistency and not so much political partisanship that sort of looks hypocritical?
I'm pretty sure making fun of someone's accent is different than calling out a whining little punk.
DeleteI signed it last night. I doubt it will do any good though. I think Disney will ignore it as well as ABC. My only hope is that his show fails along with Late Night with Stephen Colbert.
ReplyDelete11:21 - It is mostly symbolic and I am not usually one for boycotting, but the left uses it for everything and it is about time we fight back. I support anything we can to do a lefty no matter how big or small the outcome.
ReplyDeleteBad publicity is better than NO publicity. Who is Jimmy Kimmel anyway? His audience is still OLDER folks!
