More Evidence Salisbury Mayor Jake Day Is An Idiot

When you hire a bunch of Idiot kids and think you can convince the public that offering bicycles for a dollar at taxpayer expense is a great idea, (oh yeah, they'll return them because everyone is so honest) you know you're an Idiot! These bicycles were found today at Princeton Homes, Pryor Street.

When the hell are you people going to wake up and find a real man/woman to run your City. I truly have to wonder who the Idiots actually are, your leaders or your voters? Huh, maybe both!

  2. Of course this is totally idiotic. First off, who the hell wants to bike in Salisbury, MD? There is literally nothing to see here not to mention the fact that you will probably either get shot or stabbed in the process. There is no scenery in this complete crap hole. There is no nice area to bike. Bike lanes? Really?! Try making the city look presentable and removing crime first.

Second, the bikes will get stolen, duh. Most big cities use credit cards to release bikes, authorize the card first, then if you don't return them, they charge you for the cost of the bike. What kind of idiot would release bikes for a dollar on an app?

  3. Just because someone has prior or current military does not mean they are a good mayor, clearly.

    1. The guy has no military credibility!! He desperately sought out being mayor of Salisbury to exempt him from deplorable status because of his "so called" critical position. Jake Day is a great example of POSER

  4. They should be getting charged something for them not returning them because it is rented out using your cell. Phone.

Can we sue the City for littering on private property?

  9. Joe, You got it right, Both are Idiots!!!!!! The voters who let these fools do what they do then complain about them doing it, and then the City workers for doing the idiot things they do...

But like I said, no one gives a damn so nothing changes or will change and the circle continues...

  10. Same thing happened in Baltimore. How did the Mayor think that nobody would steal his orange DayCycles?

  11. Everyone I talked to predicted this would happen. Seems the only one that didn't was Boy Mayor. How in hell did he ever sell this deal to intelligent people. I'm sorry, I said intelligent people. My mistake.

  13. They are everywhere in Salisbury. Milford street especially. All thrown on the ground like garbage. Great job mayor 🙄

  14. Certainly not a bright idea, I'm sure Ireton could screw it up even worse.

  17. 2:23 PM you are not required to return them. you get 30 minutes for $1. It gets left where it lays after 30 minutes.

Us taxpayers pay for city workers to go around and fetch them, when they get to it. In the article it said nightly but we all knew that was a laugh.

    Gay Brick Room... Bahahahahahahahahahahaha!

And that homo bar owner has filed to run for the County Council. Hopefully no one is stupid enough to vote for the gay bar owner.

  19. My dog's IQ is higher then Day's. Day falls for every con scam there is and the worst part is the moron does it with tax payers money. But the real problem is the voters. His supporters are just like him. People who never get off the shore much. They are unsophisticated and backward moving.

Really? LOL We saw one of these orange bikes in Cambridge last week too. I can't remember but somewhere near Academy and Washington that neighborhood laying in the front of some house.

  21. The big cities are dropping this idea like hot potatoes so the vendors are preying on the backwardness of those in these podunk places like Salisbury. This due to the unsophisticated politicians and residents who the vendor snake oil salesman/carnival barkers see as easy marks.

  22. Like there's not enough garbage lining the streets of Salisbury and no one to pick it up now your streets are littered with ragged orange bicycles

  23. voters can't change a thing. we've tried.

  24. Everyone but our idiot mayor saw this coming. It's like taking down the fence along Riverwalk, so all this building and trying to make Salisbury look like the Inner Harbor will be a death trap to children and adults falling in our nasty river. The mayor Fake Jake is and always will be "brain dead". His mind is in a bubble (bubble wrap) nothing gets in. These bikes are ALL OVER THE PRESIDENTS NEIGHBORHOOD AREA, they are being stripped down, repainted and sold.

  25. 2:19 He never really was anything but a water boy saw no action, all he said when he was running and his whole resume was lies. A lobotomy would improve his brain function.

  26. The DelmarvaNow article about these things seems to indicate they are somehow equipped with GPS. When you rent one don't you provide personally identifying information? Or can you rent one as "John Smith" and then just abandon it without worrying about it?

  27. Where the hell is Jake day's butt buddy Tom Stevenson?? Isn't this another one of the responsibilities that come under the newly appointed "field operations director" to make sure this bikes aren't littering the cities streets?? This is about as good a job as the snow removal this past winter. From the sound of things Stevenson is on his last leg as a city department head after the Susan Phillips fiasco and his "extra curricular" activity

  29. Jake Day has a man crush on Rick Hoppes. I saw that the day that Jake got elected to the city council. They hugged each other like they were getting ready to hit the sack together. Jake Day couldn't wait to be that 3rd vote to confirm him to Far Cheef. Jake and Rick Hoppes are just as gay as Jim Ireton. Three peas in a pod.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 3:11 You don't know what your talking about Fake Jake ran unopposed that is how he got to be mayor, not because we elected him. I tried and tried to get everyone respected in this city to run against him, including Joe Albero but I guess once burned he did not want to run again. Joe would have been a shoe in, a landslide, and everyone that cared about the city decided to sit on the side lines. The rest of us don't have the support, the time, or the $ it takes a lot of these 3 things. So anyone out there who can please do so this city will back you, all we have is votes and we just need a leader!

  31. Which department of Salisbury city government is responsible for cleaning these bikes up off of city streets??

  32. There were only 12 downtown today, Saturday. One up at Mill pond Village.

    ReplyDelete
  33. 6:23 PM According to the article - Days answer was vague, as usual

"Stationless refers to the way users can pick up bikes at one bike rack and drop them off at another. To keep even numbers spread out across the rack's boundary lines, Day said they're re-balanced in the city during the night."

  34. Man personally I'm tired of haven't ng to witness how incompetent this douche bag Tom Stevenson is. From the sound of things he's been coddled and protected by every mayor since tilghman just because he's a kiss ass yes man. First of all he hasn't met any of the qualifications for any job except the housing inspection job so if he can't handle the job and do what's required get his ass out of there. Stop with all the social butt buddy handouts and get people in there that actually get the job done

  38. I feel like SU is to blame. During the promotion of this disaster it was all about how great this would be for the students and their visiting families. SU was the one that initially was in contact with the bike company and brought it to the city. Yes, Jake is pretty dumb to buy into it and pretty ballsy to gamble tax payer money on such an obviously bad idea for a city riddled with crime.

Jake is only partly to blame. But SU needs some of the blame, too.

  40. About two weeks I was driving down South Division Street across from the SU Stadium and there were two
of these orange bicycles abandoned on the sidewalk. Saw another one abandoned on Milford Street...what a waste whoever thought these bicycles were going to be a plus for the city!

Why would Salisbury University be involved in this and get the blame? Go to SU in a couple of weeks after the students move out and visit the bike racks. All of them will have hundreds of bikes locked to the rack and left behind. Many with parts missing.

    ReplyDelete
  42. The majority of Jake days decisions are based on SU liberal agenda. Ride down Milford street and look at the SU fenced in lot full of these orange POS. As for Stevenson the guy needs to be given an ultimatum retire or be let go. He has shown no ethics or character in either managerial position he's been GIVEN while a city employee. And sleeping with a married coworker should be a punishable action for any supervisor

  43. Salisbury Trivia

It was 9 years ago today, April 20, 2009, that Jim Ireton rode Debbie Campbell's coattail and won his election as Mayor and Debbie won her Salisbury District 2 council seat.

And then it happened, we saw Ireton's Reign of Terror on everyone that supported him.

  44. **IMPORTANT**

    Letter to the editor

The Salisbury Fire Department has a Cluster F*** going on right now at 4:04 PM.

Engine 16-1, AC 1, and Truck 2 are at SU for Smoke in the Building at the Guereri University Center. No fire, just smoke.

Then Central dispatches Station 16 and 2 for an MVC with Rescue at West Salisbury Parkway and West Isabella Street with up to 5 patients.

A Volunteer firefighter 627 was on the scene of the Rescue and started calling for Rescue 16 and Central advised him that there were no units responding. He advised Central there were 5 patients, 4 adults and 1 toddler.

Paramedic B5 from Hebron was alerted and responding. Paramedic John Wilson asked Central if there were any other ambulances responding and Central said NO! Paramedic Wilson on B5 said "Well you better get 2 more from somewhere!!" Good job John Wilson, Wicomico Central FAILED YOU! Wicomico Central SUCKS!

Wicomico Central then dispatches Fruitland and Delmar for 2 Ambulances.

Rescue 16 finally responds and establishes command with that goofball 1616(Jon Black).

Rescue Engine 302 was diverted from the call at SU to the Rescue.

Central advises SU Command that there was no Response out of Station #2 Volunteer after 3 alerts and if that was Ok? Little Jimmy said that was Ok. They didn't realert the volunteers out of Station 1 or Station 16, but they try to make Station 2 volunteers look bad.

SU Command under control at 1624.

This is an embarrassing day Chief Rick Hoppes with a P!ss Poor response to 2 calls that had to be handled by Fruitland, Delmar, Hebron and a Parsonsburg volunteer fireman.

This is also an embarrassing day for Wicomico Central for not dispatching the appropriate resources when needed. Thanks to the Paramedic from Hebron who wasn't on the scene yet to tell those idiots at Central what to do.

God help the next paid fire chief hired by Wannabe Mayor Jake Day!!
