Cosby accusers celebrate conviction outside of courthouse

NORRISTOWN, Pa. — Several women who are among some 60 who’ve accused Bill Cosby of drugging and molesting them staged an emotional celebration of his conviction Thursday, calling it a victory in the era of #MeToo.

“I feel like I’m dreaming. Can you pinch me?” sobbed accuser Lili Bernard on the steps of the Montgomery County Courthouse, where a jury found Cosby guilty of sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004. “This is a victory not just for Andrea Constand. Thank you so much to the jury for positioning yourself on the right side of history.”

Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred, who represented some of the Cosby accusers, read aloud statements from three of the women who testified against the fallen funnyman earlier this month.

  1. They should celebrate, because that's pretty much all they're good for. When all of this fizzles out they'll need job training to enable them to be productive citizens.

    1. Right. Some mistresses and a few of em were promised promising careers. When he didnt follow through, they did on getting him back. I ve seen some of their interviews were they ve even called him a genius and spoke highly of him. His real crime it appears was not leaving his wife for them

  7. Seems wrong that he was subjected to trial after trial till they got it right and subjected him to another trial. Just don't seem fair they get several bites at the apple. Jeopardy should be attached after 1st attempt, if no verdict, too bad, prosecutors lose. It is obvious they didn't do a good job, so end of it. Talk about cruel and unusual punishment, going thru a trial over and over again, not right.
