Ask any veteran cop who has been involved in a "running gun battle" about their experience and the first thing they'll inevitably bring up ishow unpredictable these types of shootouts can be.
What they won't tell you - at least not right away - is how the pursuing officers, in many cases, will unload dozens of rounds of ammunition, inflicting massive amounts of collateral damage, often without hitting the fleeing suspect.
Sometimes, an officer will get hit. And sometimes, officers or the suspect will tag an innocent bystander, like they did during a shootout on a quiet neighborhood street in Westchester back in September 2015.

ReplyDeletegive that rifle to me. 10 bullets = 10 hits. or give me that handgun. 10 bullets = 10 hits. Maybe those officers need some more training classes.
ReplyDeleteTrained cops can't hit a person and you want teachers with little to no shooting experience carrying guns in school. One proposal mandated 280 hours of training for teachers to be able to carry. Do you think they are going to do that on their time? What about range time/costs? You can't shoot once a year and be proficient with a handgun.
