Sooo, this bike has been outside JMB for the past 3 days. Kind of an expensive "rental" for a HS student. Jake Day and his Snowflake staff are just a bunch of Idiots. One has to seriously wonder, (God Forbid) just what Jack Heath will do to the County if he was elected.
I wish someone would explain how this rental works A dollar for what? A ride? A day? When you stop pedaling do you get charged money to start again? How do they know the bike is returned when you can drop it anywhere?
Heath is not a good pick for county executive. You know those pink hats that feminists wear? That's him. He's the tool that the people who support Day want to have in the county executive's chair. Mr. Go Along Get Along.
It is a dollar for a 30 minute ride so you either drop it at 30 minutes or pay more. According to the article the bikes cost the city nothing. Labor to deal with the bikes is another story because the article also said EVERY NIGHT the bikes are redistributed. SU students only pay 50 cents per minute - because somehow this was launched or proposed by SU.
Jack Heath wants to raise property taxes to pay for more of these bikes at county parks. I saw one sticking halfway out of the Wicomico river yesterday.
It's a business. It'll either succeed or fail. In either case, the people who have over and over again suggested it will have had their idea actually acted upon and there's no longer a need for it to be another wish list item on the agenda.
