That's going to hurt that contractor. Was it poor design or piss poor building materials?

  5. I see on all the news media that this has already become a political event.
The senators , mayor , governor and any one that can get on the tube. So sad , just fix the problem and pray for the injured and dead.

  6. Not every worker in Fl is an illegal. A stress test was being done and the FDOT failed to shut down the road while performing it.

That was my first thought too but I'm not sure it is accurate.

  10. Construction schedules are always trying to be beaten by the Construction Managers and job supers. My guess is the concrete, which needs a 28 day cure in wet conditions, was dried for 2 weeks and tossed up as soon as it turned somewhat white. Results: concrete was not fully or properly cured before erection.

Remember, concrete starts out as a liquid plastic, and remains so for quite a while after pouring.

Sometimes you can beat a construction schedule, but you can't beat stupid.

  11. I learned a lot by just researching concrete. It has been used since before the time of Jesus. Even waterproof versions.

  13. 5:56 I did hear they were tightening some cable that was too lose. If FDot was overseeing the taxpayer is on the hook for the huge lawsuits that will follow.
