ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is ubiquitous in the American classroom, there’s little debate about that. According to CDC statistics from 2012, 11 percent of children between the ages of four and 17 had been diagnosed with ADHD at some point. With over six million kids diagnosed, it’s hard not to wonder: Is this condition even a real problem?
Sure, some kids struggle to pay attention during school — but does that signify an actual problem with the child? Perhaps it’s more indicative of a society that simply doesn’t allow children to be children anymore. If you’ve ever found that the notion that children who’d rather play outside than sit at a desk are “broken” and need medication was a bit hard to digest, you may be right.
Writing for The Daily Bell, Joe Jarvis explains that there is proof that ADHD is nothing more than a fake disease. As Jarvis notes, two states with some of the highest incidences of ADHD are Arkansas and Kentucky.

One can argue that all of Psychiatry is fake since there is no objective method for affirmation of findings.
ReplyDeleteADHD is a modern medical myth. Like spectral autism and gender dysphoria and LOL social media depression. Not every snowflake is a bright and shining star. It's just too bad for them gas stations are self service.
ReplyDeleteNow social media depression is a real sickness with no cure in sight. Lol
Delete20 years ago Michael Savage said on his radio show that ADHD was not a real problem. It mostly stems from lack of discipline either from parents or authority. Years ago kids minded Authority. Nowadays they just don't care.
ReplyDeleteAutism is a fake disease too. No one had it in the 50s and 60's.
ReplyDeleteBack in the late 60's, my dad called "ADHD" something else. He called it "bad boy".
ReplyDeleteThe cure was a good whack on the behind and being sent to my room.
Dear 2:26 - I assume your medical degree would qualify you as an expert - care to explain what ‘spectral autism’ is? The correct term is autism spectrum disorder and I can assure you that working with the autism population over the last 30 years, it is quite real. Having said that, please enlighten me as to how you have come to you learned conclusion.
ReplyDeleteGas stations are self serve now? No wonder it took so long...
ReplyDeleteAll of the stops will be pulled out when the Florida shooters' trial takes place,if it takes place. We'll hear about mental illnesses that even Nancy Pelosi has not experienced.ADHD will be one,and Cruz will be programmed by his attorneys to look mentally incompetent.I think he should be taken somewhere and hung.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Or place him in a building with no guns and let him be hunted down and killed with out a specified time just like he did to those children. This country is too civil.
Delete5:50 it wasn't diagnosed back then because we didn't understand it. Much like you don't understand, well, probably most things.
ReplyDeleteI'll just sit back and watch these blue collar hillbillies tout their country medical degrees. Ignorance like this is why our country has a mental health problem.
ReplyDeleteA complete lack of empathy and compassion for others is what tears this country apart.
