  1. I see ECI workers on a regular basis at my employment. I have only seen men, black and white, and I have heard there are women that work there as well. I have never seen anyone from another country as a prison guard, example, Mexico, Haiti, etc. What's up with that? Just food for thought. I have seen them work in chicken plants and landscaping, but never seen on in ECI uniform.

  2. From where are you getting your numbers? Even if you're right about the 120 officers, that leaves the remainder except for 3 or 4 that doesn't tally.

  5. Nobody wants to work under corrupt Supervision / Administration. I guess Somerset County has run out of homeboys. They were the only ones in Supervisions / Administrations eyes that could no everything right and nothing wrong when I worked there. It was a terrible work environment having to fight Supervisors / Administrators just to do you job correctly.

  6. Yes, there is a critical shortage of guards for which they are constantly recruiting. This is a state-wide threat. The vetting process can take months and is very restrictive. I believe they even "loosened up" on the hiring requirements. The truth is it is a difficult job with terrible hours and dangerous conditions.

  7. The inmates have more rights than the officers putting them at risk it will only get worse until tough decisions are made and they get back to punishing criminals in prison and make there stay uncomfortable.

  8. Why would anyone subject themselves to having to come in contact with the worst society has to offer?? Sorry but piece of mind outweighs a pay check and a little state retirement
