What makes this so wrong is that it is the only area in the county that I know of that drops down to 20 MPH while the rest of their 30 mph signs in town state all roads in Pittsville are 30 mph.
That alone will win every single case in court. Watch them remove the 30 mph notices after they read this. Get your cameras out now and take a picture of the speed signs stating that and take it to court with you.
Sheriff Mike Lewis must be desperate for cash because this is getting as low as a Sheriff can get. Keep in mind Folks, if you need a cop in Pittsville you'll wait 30 to 45 minutes before they get there.
flow a blanket over it. spray paint the lens ...

ReplyDeleteWe never call the sheriff dept. here, with a problem. We always call the State police. One trooper gave us his card and told us to forget the sheriff dept. in Wicomico county. Lewis has no clue what he's doing. It an ego trip.
ReplyDeleteI thought the WCSO were not allowed to have speed cameras any longer, and had to get rid of the ones that they did have.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. I can attest to the 45 minute wait. We had a break in, had to hold intruder/thief 45-50 minutes before anyone showed up. You can call 911 all day out here with that same response time.
ReplyDeleteSpeed cameras are for the safety of the children. HOW many children cross that road?
ReplyDeleteNONE!!!!
DeleteProbably watching whats going on across the street from there.
ReplyDeleteFYI There is a second camera hidden to catch vandals.
ReplyDelete2:20 thinks the speed camera's are for the safety of the children.
ReplyDeleteHILARIOUS!!!
I could get two tickets a day for 3 straight months and all that would happen is my bank account would get pretty thin.
Because they are so very concerned about "safety".
