Devreco gets an offshore wind development grant from the state of MD for $100k. Because...you know...they're experts on wind power.

And...
Devreco and Gillis Gilkerson hire Meredith Mears as Chief Development Officer. Mears is currently Director for Worcester County Economic Development.

The project is supposed to start in February. Mears starts in February. Did Mears work with Devreco in an arrangement that brought her benefits via a new job? It wouldn't be unreasonable to think that the county's Economic Development Director would be connected enough to steer public grants in a particular direction, and have access to information not readily available to competitors.
A little ETHICS 101 thrown into the mix!!!!
ReplyDeleteSmells like a Crisfield packing house.
ReplyDeleteThey will lose their ass mark my words. This idea is as idiotic as that half witted Headquarters Live they dreamed up. And when it does fail and their butss get jammed up Sby News will be here to tell the dopes Told You So
ReplyDeleteAt least they got free grant money.
ReplyDeleteTaxpayers are the only ones that will lose. Just watch and see what happens.
ReplyDeleteMike Dunn got his boy John Cannon to get involved in supporting this windpower crap. John Cannon has been going to Annapolis to meet secretly with elected officials representing the Wicomico County Council as their president. The interesting thing is the county council members don't know that "they" are supporting off-shore wind power. Why do you think John Cannon had Matt Drew and the lady from Toroid to speak at the county council meeting on January 16, 2018.
ReplyDeleteIt hit me as I drove by the old Labinal building, that would be a perfect place to build wind turbines and as far as I know it is still empty. Another win/win for Devreco using other people's tax money.
