A North Carolina woman has been charged with filing a false report of a stolen car an triggering a police chase that killed five people.
Erica Leann Robinson reported her silver 2003 Acura in September, authorities told the Greensboro News and Record.
On September 30 a Guilford County sheriff's deputy spotted the car, ran the plates and tried to stop it.
But as soon as he activated his blue lights the car ran, and police said the vehicle was traveling at an estimated 130 mph when it ran a stop light and crashed into a 2012 Kia.
