  6. Business started in Greenwood, duh. And that building has never had a long term tenant. It's a lousy location for a "house" business. That lot is too small, and too far away from the intersection, (and too expensive) to be economically viable. It will continue to change hands.

  8. Let's see closings since Jake took office add if you know more: Gander Mountain, Charming Charlie's,Wendys, Old West SteakHouse, Gymboree, Primo Hoagies,Giant Food, Beracah Homes, soon to be K-Mart & possibly Sears.

    1. Most of them are from retail companies filing bankruptcy; retail industry have been failing country wide, not just salisbury.

  9. Well I can tell the primary reason for them leaving Maryland - it's the stupid residential sprinkler ordinance. It's a no-brainer, Maryland cannot expect to reap any GDP growth with that type of legislation lingering around.

    It's so much easier to build in DE and VA and much less expensive. Thus, they made a prudent business decision and have decided to exodus north.
