But why are Americans so afraid? Is it the news that has reported 345 mass shooting incidents (in which 4 or more people were killed or wounded) in 2017 alone? Is it violent movies and video games? Maybe the reason Americans have a heightened fear of being harmed is because 1 in 3 households have a gun, and almost half of Americans know someone who has been shot.
No matter the catalyst for worry, one thing is certain: Americans are looking for information about their risk of harm, and solutions for how they can protect themselves and their loved ones. That’s why safety app developer SOS Apps, Inc., completed a comprehensive study on violent crimes, hate crimes, mass shootings, terrorist attacks, and riots from 1995 to 2016 (the last year for which complete FBI data are available)—to determine trends nationally and by state to see where violence in America is headed.

Protection people and I'm not referring to condoms. Use whatever means you have. By that I am saying use your imagination. Ladies, if all you have is a ballpoint pen, use it and use it well. Anything you have nearby, stop the SOB. If you are fortunate enough to owe a handgun, keep it with you. If you run into a situation on the road and the handgun is home in the safe box it will not be of any use. Also think, be aware of your surroundings at all times. Sorry, but this is where we are in society. Don't be a victim!
ReplyDeleteIf one were to investigate and dig deeply into the FBI Uniform Crime Reports over the years you would find that the instances of violent crime and in particular, gun violence are overwhelming committed by a specific demographic that makes up only about 13% of our population. Control them and you would be witness to about a 90% reduction in crime.
ReplyDeleteAmerica is following the history of Rome full tilt. There's no hope. This country in the beginning started in a violent matter. U. S. of American will fall. We are doomed for destruction, unfortunately.
