NFL Thanksgiving Primetime Ratings Crash by 10 Percent

Black Friday will have different meanings to different people this year, for 99.9 percent of American businesses it will be a day when profits soar and businesses finish the year strong.

For the NFL, it will be the day they received yet another reminder that they’re doing the opposite of those things.

In what has become a consistent pattern for the league this year, the NFL put a bad product on the field, insulted the country with another protest by a privileged millionaire, and got a bad television rating. Thanksgiving’s primetime clash between the Redskins and the Giants registered a 9.7 in metered markets, down 10 percent from last year.

While the game stayed steady with last week’s Thursday night match-up, that isn’t really good news for the NFL either. Since, a Thanksgiving Day match-up in primetime absolutely should net a much larger audience than a random Thursday primetime before Thanksgiving.

TROOPERS CONDUCT ALCOHOL COMPLIANCE CHECKS IN SOMERSET COUNTY

On Tuesday, November 21, 2017, Troopers from the Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barracks conducted numerous alcohol compliance checks at retail establishments in Somerset County. Troopers ensured that various retail establishments which hold a Somerset County Liquor License were denying sales of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21 years old.

A total of 21 retail establishments were checked. The following retail establishments complied with the provisions of the law and denied the sale of alcoholic beverage to minors:
Eden Quick Stop, Eden, Maryland
Caesar’s Pizza Palace, Princess Anne, Maryland
Peaky’s Restaurant, Princess Anne, Maryland
Goose Creek, Princess Anne, Maryland
Spike’s Pub & Subs, Princess Anne, Maryland
Kash & Karry, Princess Anne, Maryland
Somerset County Liquor Dispensary, Princess Anne, Maryland
King’s Creek Market, Princess Anne, Maryland
Becky’s International Food Market, Princess Anne, Maryland
Junior’s Wines, Princess Anne, Maryland
Goose Creek, Westover, Maryland
Dash Inn, Westover, Maryland
River Market, Pocomoke City, Maryland
Somerset County Liquor Dispensary, Pocomoke City, Maryland
Brew Thru, Crisfield, Maryland
Big Willey’s, Crisfield, Maryland
Somers Cove Market, Crisfield, Maryland
Crisfield Oceanic, Crisfield, Maryland

The following retail establishments were not in compliance with the provisions of the law and sold alcoholic beverages to a minor:

Lucky’s Last Chance, Deal Island, Maryland
The Washington Inn & Tavern, Princess Anne, Maryland
Shore Stop, Crisfield, Maryland

In addition to any sanctions imposed against the liquor licenses that may be imposed by the Somerset County Liquor Board, the employees who sold alcoholic beverages to a minor will face charges in the District Court of Maryland for Somerset County for furnishing an alcoholic beverage to a minor. If convicted, these people face a maximum penalty of up to 2 years of incarceration, a fine of $1,000, or both.

In an effort to keep minors safe during this upcoming holiday season, Troopers will continue with unannounced compliance checks to ensure that alcoholic beverages stay out of the hands of minors. Historically, the holiday season sees an increase in alcohol related collisions; many of these collisions involve serious bodily injury.

3 sentenced in Wisconsin cyber romance scheme that bilked $14 million from US and Canadian victims

MADISON, Wis. — Two Nigerian men were each sentenced to 12 years in federal prison, and a U.S. citizen victim-turned-criminal was sentenced to five years’ probations in an international romance and cyber fraud scheme that defrauded victims from the United States and Canada.

These sentences were announced by Acting U.S. Attorney Jeffrey M. Anderson, Western District of Wisconsin. This case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Milwaukee, and the Price County (Wisconsin) Sheriff’s Department and District Attorney’s Office, with assistance from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and numerous law enforcement agencies in California, Indiana, Arizona, New Jersey and Iowa.

Richard Ugbah, 36, a Nigerian citizen living in Atlanta, Georgia, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge James D. Peterson to 12 years in federal prison for wire fraud. Ugbah was also ordered to forfeit a Mercedes Benz automobile and two bank accounts.

Michael Adegoke, 34, a Nigerian citizen living in Chicago, Illinois, was also sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

President Trump Will Permit Citizens to Buy Military Surplus 1911 Pistols

President Trump is set to sign the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act, which contains an amendment that allows U.S. citizens to acquire military surplus 1911 pistols.

The sales will occur under the auspices of the Civilian Marksmanship Program, which has been selling approved military surplus weapons to citizens for more than 100 years.

According to the International Business Times, it currently costs the U.S. military approximately $2 a day to store one pistol, and there are an estimated 100,000 1911s that are being stored. So that is a $200,000 expenditure the military can erase and replace with a profit, or at least of a recoup of costs, by selling the firearms.

The 1911 is one of the most popular handguns ever developed.

40 percent of US cancers linked to excess weight

Washington – About 40 percent of all cancers in the United States — more than 630,000 in all — are associated with excess weight, health officials said Tuesday, urging a renewed focus on prevention.

In a nation where 71 percent of adults are either overweight or obese, the findings by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention “are a cause for concern,” said the agency’s director Brenda Fitzgerald.

“A majority of American adults weigh more than recommended -– and being overweight or obese puts people at higher risk for a number of cancers,” she said in a statement.

“By getting to and keeping a healthy weight, we all can play a role in cancer prevention.”

Read The Letter To Barack Obama Warning About Dangers Of Uranium One Deal

The warning was issued December 21st, 2010. Barack Obama was President and Hillary Clinton his Secretary of State. A uranium deal that allocated a sizable portion of U.S. uranium reserves had just been awarded to Russian government-controlled interests. The deal made no sense. It weakened American security. It also made the Clinton Foundation very-very rich via donations made by corporate interests directly tied to the deal.

Senator John Barrasso sounded the alarm. Barack Obama, his administration, and much of the Establishment Media chose to ignore the warning. Read the senator’s letter to then-President Obama here:

Migrant Crisis-Hit Italy Sees Half of Citizens 'Feel Like Strangers in Their Own Country'

People across the West increasingly feel like they are “strangers” in their home countries, with Italy leading the pack.

Ipsos Mori research, cited by Chatham House fellow Matthew Goodwin, notes that some 49 per cent of Italians — who have borne the brunt of the migrant crisis recently — agree with the statement: “These days I feel like a stranger in my country.”

Since an expensive and not always entirely effective deal between the European Union and Turkey brought the so-called Eastern Mediterranean Route into Greece under somesemblance of control, Italy found itself becoming ground zero for the migrant crisis.

Debt and Taxes and Perdition

Should the government borrow against the future? Should it guarantee higher taxes for your children and grandchildren in return for lower taxes for you?

If government’s moral legitimacy depends on the consent of the governed, as Thomas Jefferson argued in the Declaration of Independence, can the federal government morally compel those who haven’t consented to its financial profligacy — because they are not yet born — to pay higher taxes?

These questions are at the base of the debate — such as it is — in Congress these days over the so-called Republican tax reform plan. But you will not hear these questions even asked, much less answered, on Capitol Hill because the Republican leadership of the House and Senate is afraid that the answers might drive them from power. The same can be said for Democratic leaders when their party controls Congress.

In fact, with the exception of a few courageous senators, such as Rand Paul of Kentucky, and representatives, such as Justin Amash of Michigan and Thomas Massie of Kentucky, most in Congress in both parties think the only limit on the government‘s taxing power is what it can politically get away with at any given moment.

And it gets away with a great deal because vast majorities in both major political parties recognize no moral limits to the government’s sordid pattern of tax, borrow and spend.

The Cardinal Sin Of International Finance

As Doug Casey has correctly noted, the prime directive of any organism - whether it’s an amoeba or a person or a corporation or a government - is to survive.

That’s why the US government protects the petrodollar so zealously. It needs the system to survive.

Why Everyone Uses the US Dollar… for Now

In the 1970s, the US government struck a series of deals with Saudi Arabia, creating the petrodollar system. The US promised to coddle and protect the Saudi kingdom. And, in exchange, Saudi Arabia would use its dominant position in OPEC to ensure that all oil transactions happened in US dollars.

Until recently, virtually anyone who wanted to import oil from any country needed US dollars to pay for it.

The dollar is just a middleman here. But countries and businesses use it in countless transactions amounting to trillions of dollars that have nothing to do with US products or services.

Plus, if foreign countries are already using dollars for oil, it’s just easier to use the dollar for other international trade. That’s why, in addition to oil sales, the US dollar is used for about 80% of all international transactions.

World leaders who have challenged the petrodollar recently have ended up dead…

Rand Paul's wife speaks out on attack, says media 'victimized' her husband

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul’s wife is accusing the media of making things worse for her husband as he recovers from an attack by a neighbor that left him badly injured earlier this month.

“It is incredibly hurtful that some news outlets have victimized Rand a second time as he struggles to recover,” Kelley Paul wrote in a piece published Tuesday on CNN.com.

Paul’s neighbor, 59-year-old Rene Boucher, has been charged with misdemeanor fourth-degree assault and was released from jail on a $7,500 bond after police say he tackled Paul on Nov. 3 as he mowed his grass.

Tom Carper: Gary Cohn, Trump's top economic adviser, faked bad connection to end call with boss

President Trump’s top economic adviser pretended to have a bad connection in order to cut short a telephone conference call with his boss, a Democratic senator told CNN Wednesday, an account the White House quickly labeled as “completely false.”

Delaware Sen. Tom Carper claimed the incident occurred when both he and Gary Cohn, the former Wall Street banker who heads the White House National Economic Council, were on a conference call with Mr. Trump discussing details of the giant tax reform legislation. Mr. Trump at the time was in the middle of a 12-day trip to East Asia.

Claiming the conversation was not helping the negotiations, Mr. Carper, a member of the Senate Finance Committee, said he suggested to Mr. Cohn that he tell Mr. Trump, “‘Mr. President, you’re brilliant! But we’re losing contact, and I think we’re going to lose you now, so good-bye.’ And that’s what he did, and he hung up.”

The senator said the two sides “went back to having the kind of conversation that we needed to.”

CNN host John Berman then asked Mr. Carper, “Are you saying Gary Cohn faked a bad connection to get the president off the phone?”

Mr. Carper replied: “I don’t want to throw [Mr. Cohn] under the bus — but, yes.”

Lessons From Squanto

Governments across the planet will go to any length to meddle in the lives and private affairs of their citizens. This is what our experiences and observations have shown. What gives?

For one, politicians have an aversion to freedom and liberty. They want to control your behavior, choices, and decisions. What’s more, they want to use your money to do so.

Here in the United States, bureaucrats, flush with authority, will stand in the way of a fellow who’s striving to find his own way by his own means. Licenses, permits, fees, employer identification numbers, state board of equalization registrations, workers compensation insurance…you name it. All this – and more – are needed prior to hanging out your shingle and making your first sale.

Why the Fall of the House of Clinton May Trigger Domino Effect Worldwide

Over the past two decades the Clintons have created nothing short of a global network consisting of influential foreign politicians, oligarchs and royalty, exercising what Wall Street analyst Charles Ortel called "the cult of unregulated globalism." The fall of the House of Clinton may bring an end to this globalist structure, he told Sputnik.

"The Clintons — and the Bushes and Obamas — have embraced the cult of unregulated 'globalism' wherein a small band of cronies drawn from the billionaire class, multinational companies, international nonprofits, academia, and media swarm around the world trying to dominate the political agenda, as they move financial markets, and put deals together," Charles Ortel, a Wall Street analyst and investigative journalist, told Sputnik.

According to the analyst, this approach gained momentum starting around 1988 and allowed globalist elites to build even greater fortunes out of being able to control any national government.

Over the past two decades the Clintons have managed to create a sort of a global network involving prominent foreign politicians, tycoons and powerful clans. Many of them have long been generous donors to the Clinton Foundation, dubbed by Ortel, who has been conducting a private inquiry into the entity for the last few years, the "largest unprosecuted charity fraud ever attempted."

Given the changing political landscape in the US it is possible that the Clintons will be finally subjected to thorough scrutiny.

Indiana teacher busted after being caught on camera doing drugs in classroom

An Indiana high school teacher got more than detention when she was arrested after a video posted to social media allegedly showed her doing drugs in an empty classroom.

Samantha Cox, a 24-year-old teacher at Lake Central High School in the town of St. John near the Illinois border, was arrested on Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

The English teacher was allegedly caught doing drugs after students filmed her with a phone from outside the classroom, according to Fox 32 Chicago.

"It's absolutely, I can't' really describe it. It's just atrocious," Kasia Firlej, a parent of a child at the school said to the local news channel.

The video, which made rounds on social media, shows a woman alleged to be Cox sitting in the corner of the classroom using narcotics. It was not immediately clear which substance she was taking.

Republican Introduces Bill Banning Lawmakers from Settling Sexual Harassment Claims w/ Taxpayer Cash

Florida’s Rep. Ron DeSantis has announced that he is working hard on new legislation that will stop the practice of using taxpayer money to pay off sexual harassment claims against political figures, and to publicize relevant details like the names of the accused.

Of course, it must be said that not every out of court settlement means that the person being accused is admitting guilt. If you’re a celebrity or very rich (or have access to riches, like these politicians) it can be cheaper and more expedient to hand over a smaller sum of cash instead of spend two years in court with the bills piling up. By showing off the names of the accused they will likely be misinterpreted as being unequivocal sex perverts simply because there was a settlement reached instead of a verdict handed down by a judge.

This is what DeSantis said that he’d be working on, while referencing the issue with the Democrat Rep. John Conyers, whose office paid at least one alleged victim $27,000 after she came forward to say that she had been forced to refuse his sexual advances:

Tesla's burning through half a Million dollar every Hour

Elon Musk said last week that Tesla Inc. is designing a new sports car that could go from zero to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds. Not bad, but here’s a speed number that investors might want to focus on instead:

Over the past 12 months, the electric-car maker has been burning money at a clip of about $8,000 a minute (or $480,000 an hour), Bloomberg data show. At this pace, the company is on track to exhaust its current cash pile on Monday, Aug. 6. (At 2:17 a.m. New York time, if you really want to be precise.)

To be fair, few Tesla watchers expect the cash burn to continue at quite such a breakneck pace, and the company itself says it’s ramping up output of its all-important Model 3, which will bring money in the door. Investors don’t seem concerned. Tesla shares rose almost 3 percent to $317.81 Tuesday, giving it a market capitalization of $53 billion. Ford Motor Co. is worth $48 billion.

An Obamacare assistance group got $200,000 in federal funds — and used it to sign up just one person

A group that is supposed to help Native Americans sign up for Affordable Care Act coverage in South Dakota received $200,000 in federal funds to support its efforts — and managed to sign up just one person in an Obamacare plan, the Trump administration said Wednesday.

The group, the Great Plains Tribal Chairmen's Health Board, had better luck in North Dakota — where it assisted 67 people in shopping for and enrolling in an Obamacare plan that went into effect in 2017.

But in that state, the board received another $154,000 in federal cash for its efforts.

That works out to nearly $2,300 per enrollee in North Dakota.

In both Dakotas, the group's work cost taxpayers $5,200 per enrollee, according to data from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

At the start of 2017 plan last fall, the tribal board — which has not responded to a request for comment from CNBC — had hoped to sign up 5,900 people in Obamacare plans sold by private insurers.

Michigan Township blocks Nestle from Bottling Groundwater

A small Michigan township is making a stand against Nestle, temporarily blocking the company from pumping millions of gallons of groundwater for bottled water. Citizens near Evart, Michigan became outraged when Nestlé proposed to build even larger pipelines to increase the flow of water to its plant in Standwood. Global News CA details the local resistance to Nestlé’s proposed expansion to collect even more ground water:

The added capacity provided by the proposed booster pump would make it possible for Nestlé to extract an estimated 1,500 litres of groundwater per minute, representing more than 4.2 million bottles of water in a 24-hour period. That’s equal to 794 million litres of water annually.

As explained by Global News CA, “the company is currently limited to pumping 945 litres per minute, up significantly from its pre-2015 cap of 565 litres per minute.”

Nelson Switzer, Nestlé Waters’ chief sustainability officer told the Stamford Advocate, “just because we’re putting in the application for 400 [gallons] doesn’t mean it’s going to run at 400 gallons per minute most of the time. Switzer added, “the fact is we want to make sure that we don’t spike Evart beyond our permitted capacity. So having that capacity permitted is important.”

Steve Bannon's Impromptu Thanksgiving Proclamation: 'Absolute Metaphysical Certitude' That 'We Will Get Our Country Back'

Breitbart News’s executive chairman and former White House chief strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, said with “absolute metaphysical certitude” in an impromptu Thanksgiving proclamation to SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily radio show that “we will get our country back.”

Speaking with Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow and Breitbart London Editor Raheem Kassam, Bannon said that on Thanksgiving, Americans and, specifically, populist-nationalist conservatives should be thankful that “we’re winning.”

“Here’s what I’m thankful for: it’s that we’re winning,” Bannon said. “I mean we’re winning. I know it looks – every day it looks – like we’re kind of coming off track. The hand of divine providence was on November 8.”

“You know, we’ve got so much to be thankful for. I looked at the last years. You know, it’s not perfect.” Bannon said.

Tesla builds world’s biggest lithium ion battery

MELBOURNE – Tesla Inc has completed construction of the world’s largest lithium ion battery in Australia, putting it on track to meet a 100-day deadline for switching the battery packs on, the South Australian government said on Thursday.

Tesla won a bid in July to build the 129 megawatt hour battery for South Australia, the country’s most wind power-dependent state, with a vow from Chief Executive Elon Musk to install it within 100 days of signing a grid connection agreement or give it to the state for free.

When the grid connection deal was signed on Sept 29, Tesla was already half way through installing the battery packs.

The Tesla Powerpacks have now been fully installed at a wind farm run by France’s Neoen, and testing is set to begin to provide grid security services in South Australia.

“While others are just talking, we are delivering our energy plan, making South Australia more self-sufficient, and providing back up power and more affordable energy for South Australians this summer,” state Premier Jay Weatherill said in a statement.

Democrats Revert to ‘It’s Okay When Our Guy Does It’ in Defending Franken

The scourge of situational morality is suddenly bipartisan.

The Senate sex-and-power calculus has come to this: Roy Moore fans say, “Al Franken isn’t dropping out. Why should our guy?” Al Franken fans say, “Roy Moore isn’t dropping out. Why should our guy?”

The language of power has, for some on both sides, displaced the language of right and wrong. We’ve gotten to the point where politics is so divisive that it’s common for both sides to reserve their outrage exclusively for acts committed by their ideological foes. When repulsive acts are revealed, no one should say, “Hang on, let me check the party affiliation of the perpetrator before I decide how I feel about this.”

Russia has earned a 2018 Olympic ban

Russia just lost out to the United States in the Olympic medal standings . . . for the 2014 Winter Games. The action, nearly four years after the fact, is just the latest fallout from Moscow’s massive doping abuses.

That scandal should see Vladimir Putin’s athletes banned completely from February’s Olympics in South Korea. But will the International Olympic Committee’s executive board have the guts to do the right thing come Dec. 5?

The IOC on Wednesday banned four more Russian athletes for life, ordering the forfeit of two medals from the 2014 competitions in Sochi. Along with other forfeits for six other Russian dopers, Putin’s Sochi total is down to 27 medals (from an original 33).

And it’s entirely possible that the other medals are tainted, too.

Colleges Care About Diversity, Except When They Don’t

A common feature of our time is the extent to which many in our nation have become preoccupied with diversity. But true diversity obsession, almost a mania, is found at our institutions of higher learning.

Rather than have a knee-jerk response for or against diversity, I think we should ask just what is diversity and whether it’s a good thing. How do we tell whether a college, a department, or another unit within a college is diverse or not? What exemptions from diversity are permitted?

Seeing as college presidents and provosts are the main diversity pushers, we might start with their vision of diversity. Ask your average college president or provost whether he even bothers promoting political diversity among faculty. I’ll guarantee that if he is honest—and even bothers to answer the question—he will say no.

According to a recent study, professors who are registered Democrats outnumber their Republican counterparts by a 12-1 ratio. In some departments, such as history, Democratic professors outnumber their Republican counterparts by a 33-1 ratio.

State Dept. Marks ‘Transgender Day of Remembrance’

(CNSNews.com) - The State Department on Monday commemorated Transgender Day of Remembrance, honoring transgenders who died through “acts of violence.”

“On Transgender Day of Remembrance, the United States honors the memory of the many transgender individuals who have lost their lives to acts of violence,” Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said in a statement.

“Transgender individuals and their advocates, along with lesbian, gay, bisexual and intersex persons, are facing increasing physical attacks and arbitrary arrests in many parts of the world. Often these attacks are perpetrated by government officials, undermining the rule of law,” Tillerson added.

He said “transgender person should not be subjected to violence or discrimination, and the human rights they share with all persons should be respected.”

Tillerson said the U.S. is “ committed to advancing the human rights and fundamental freedoms of all persons.”

Little Sisters of the Poor Are Returning to Court

The Little Sisters of the Poor is returning to court to defend itself against lawsuits from two states that seek to remove the order of nuns’ religious exemption from the Health and Human Services rule.

“Pennsylvania’s Attorney General Josh Shapiro and California’s Attorney General Xavier Becerra have now filed lawsuits trying to take away the rights that the Little Sisters just won,” Mark Rienzi, senior counsel at Becket, a nonprofit, public-interest law firm that seeks to protect free expression of all religious traditions, said in a media call Tuesday.

“It is a shame that some folks want to drudge up the last administration’s culture war-fighting, and threaten the Little Sisters [of the Poor] and other religious charities,” Rienzi said.

Last month, the Department of Health and Human Services rolled back the Obamacare mandate that employers cover contraception and abortion-inducing drugs, as The Daily Signal previously reported.

Senate race pits Carozza vs Mathias

Hogan’s endorsement adds to announcement at rally

Delegate Mary Beth Carozza (R-38C) believes that her next calling is a place in the Maryland Senate and she’s challenging incumbent Sen. Jim Mathias (D-38) in the 2018 election to get there.

“For real and lasting change, Gov. (Larry) Hogan needs more team players in the Maryland Senate. As I’ve thought about the election, I believe I can do more for the shore as your senator,” Carozza told a crowd of supporters and public officials on Sunday at Ocean City Elementary School.

“I will continue to stand up with the governor and fight for you. I will always put the interest of the shore first.”

Carozza, 56, formerly served as a congressional, Defense Department and Governor’s Office staff member with roots with Ocean City. She handily won her first election in 2014 with 73 percent of the vote.

Hogan endorsed Carozza, characterizing her as a friend who has worked with him every step of the way, starting before he decided to run for office.

“When I formed Change Maryland [in 2013], one of the first people to reach out to me was Mary Beth. She sat down with me in my real estate office and told me the things that were bothering her,” he said. “It sounded a lot like the same reasons I was thinking about getting involved.”

Q&A: FCC Chairman Explains Why He’s Ending Obama’s ‘Heavy-Handed Internet Regulations’

The Federal Communications Commission will vote in December on a proposal to repeal Obama-era net neutrality rules. Shortly after publicly announcing the news, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai spoke to Daily Signal Editor-in-Chief Rob Bluey. In the edited transcript that follows, Pai explains what it means for consumers and addresses concerns voiced by the left.

Bluey: The Federal Communications Commission plays a big role in all of our lives because you regulate radio, TV, cable, wire, and satellite communications. And you have some major news to share with us that involves your Restoring Internet Freedom Order. Could you tell us what this order is?

Pai: It is essentially my proposal to repeal the Obama administration’s heavy-handed regulations adopted two years ago on a party-line vote that regulated the internet. What I’m proposing to do is to get rid of those regulations and to return to the bipartisan light-touch framework that governed the internet starting in the Clinton administration and continuing all the way to 2015.

THE CIA DOCUMENTED LONG-RANGE PLANNING FOR A DRUGGED AND DEBILITATED SOCIETY: OPIOIDS ARE PERFECT FIT

Note: I’m reprinting a piece I wrote about a year ago. In it, you’ll see a CIA mind-control document that calls for drugs fulfilling certain specific requirements.

OPIOIDS SATISFY A NUMBER OF THESE REQUIREMENTS PERFECTLY.

“Long ago, I interviewed John Marks, author of Search for the Manchurian Candidate, the book that exposed the CIA’s MKULTRA mind-control program. He told me that in 1962, when MKULTRA supposedly ended, the CIA actually transferred the program to its Office of Research and Development, where it went completely dark.

A CIA representative told Marks there were a hundred boxes of material on the ‘new’ MKULTRA, and he, Marks, would never see any of it, no matter how many FOIA requests he made.” (The Underground, Jon Rappoport)

“Plans for guiding the world can be formed and launched a long, long time before we see the results. Don’t assume cause and effect are merely and only short-term. That’s an unwarranted idea.” (The Underground)

GOOGLE’S ERIC SCHMIDT SAYS AMERICANS TOO DUMB TO DETECT FAKE NEWS, PLANS TO “DERANK” RUSSIAN NEWS

Eric Schmidt has made news with his latest announcement that Google is working on ways to “derank” Russian media in the search engine’s results.

At this weekend’s Halifax International Security Forum in Canada, Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google and current executive Chairman of Alphabet Inc., discussed Google’s efforts to deal with the apparent rise of fake news. Specifically, Schmidt was talking about how the search engine giant might limit the spread of “Russian Propaganda.” Mr. Schmidt said Google might “derank” fake news stories, going as far as mentioning Russian news stations Russia Today (RT) and Sputnik.

“We are working on detecting and deranking those kinds of sites – it’s basically RT and Sputnik,” Schmidt said. “We are well of aware of it, and we are trying to engineer the systems to prevent that [the content being delivered to wide audiences]. But we don’t want to ban the sites – that’s not how we operate.”

The top 10 moments in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade history

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was once a modest march without a single balloon: The first year it hit the streets, in 1924, the event showcased zoo animals.

Since then, it has dazzled the country with elaborate floats, larger-than-life balloons and star-studded performances, raking in 3.5 million spectators and 50 million TV viewers annually. It has featured groundbreaking designs, heartfelt tributes and jaw-dropping performances along the way.

But it has also seen its share of wackiness and fiascos.

In honor of the nation’s largest parade — which kicks off again on Thursday — here is a roundup of its top 10 weirdest and most wonderful moments, according to experts and historians:

Alwaleed Bin Talal Reportedly Hung Upside Down And Beaten By US Mercenaries

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman must be worried that some of the royals rounded up during his “corruption crackdown” cash grab are holding out on him. Because the Saudi prince has reportedly hired a crew of American mercenaries who haven’t hesitated to employ an array of “enhanced interrogation” techniques.

As the Daily Mail reports, mercenaries purportedly employed by Academi, a successor to infamous US security contractor Blackwater, have been stringing up some of MBS’s “guests” at the Riyadh Ritz Carlton by their feet and savagely beating them during interrogations. The claims have spread rapidly on Arabic-language social media, and even Lebanon’s president Michel Aoun has accused MbS of using mercenaries. Still, the Daily Mail isn't the most reputable news organization, so these reports should be taken with a grain of salt.

'They are beating them, torturing them, slapping them, insulting them. They want to break them down,' the source told DailyMail.com.

'Blackwater' has been named by DailyMail.com's source as the firm involved, and the claim of its presence in Saudi Arabia has also been made on Arabic social media, and by Lebanon's president.

The firm's successor, Academi, strongly denies even being in Saudi Arabia and says it does not engage in torture, which it is illegal for any U.S. citizen to commit anywhere in the world.

The Saudi crown prince, according to the source, has also confiscated more than $194 billion from the bank accounts and seized assets of those arrested, and could eventually end up with $800 billion in cash and assets to replenish Saudi’s rapidly diminishing reserves. Given the febrile atmosphere in the kingdom, and the tacit support for the crackdown among Saudi citizens, who have seen their jobs and generous government subsidies cut, MbS has been able to circumvent the country’s legal system.

OC Mayor Working With Aquarium On Marine Animal Rescue Facility Concept

OCEAN CITY — While the future of Ocean City’s eventual model block remains uncertain, Mayor Rick Meehan has been working behind the scenes on a potential project that could separate the downtown area from other resort areas.

For several years, the town has been working closely with the Ocean City Development Corporation (OCDC) to acquire property in a downtown city block between Dorchester and Somerset streets and Baltimore and Philadelphia avenues as part of an eventual model block development. In most cases, the town, through the OCDC, has acquired properties, many of which host aging and dilapidated buildings, with the intent of packaging them together for future redevelopment on a larger, block-wide scale.

The OCDC has envisioned assembling properties on the block to eventually attract an anchor project in the downtown area. The belief is an attractive downtown redevelopment project will provide a link from the Boardwalk to the restaurants, bars and other attractions on the bayside, creating a flow of pedestrians throughout the downtown area.

David Stockman Exposes "The Illusion Of Growth"

The Wall Street Journal published a superb example of hopium recently in a sunny-side-up story entitled “U. S. Manufacturing Rides Rising Tide, Buoyed by Global Growth, Optimism.”

Indeed, this lazy cheerleading excuse for journalism captured the sum and substance of why the punters keep buying the dips despite troubles gathering all around.

That is, as the tax bill falters, the crusade to remove the Donald from office gathers strength, the Fed moves into balance sheet normalization and instability breaks out all over the world from the Persian Gulf to the Korean peninsula.

You would think the title says it all, but the WSJ was not nearly done. It cited a 156,000 pick-up in manufacturing employment since last November, rising energy and commodity prices as evidence of a booming global economy and double digit growth in business investment earlier this year, among other things.

American manufacturing has picked up pace over the last 12 months thanks to steady global economic growth, a rise in energy and other commodity prices, and increased business confidence.

Although progress isn’t being felt by all industries, makers of items ranging from bulldozers to semiconductors to food products are on the upswing as various measures of spending, sentiment and employment have climbed, while stock markets have hit record highs.

Worcester Commissioners Reject Scheduled Salary Bump

SNOW HILL– The Worcester County Commissioners opted to waive their scheduled salary increase for the coming four years.

The commissioners voted 6-0, with Commissioner Joe Mitrecic absent, to waive the 1.5 percent cost of living increase they were set to receive for the 2018-2022 term.

“All of us felt it was not necessary,” Commissioner Jim Bunting said.

The commissioners’ salary of $25,000 each per year was established by resolution in 2005. According to that resolution, each commissioner’s salary is set to increase automatically each four years based on the cost of living increase given to county employees during the prior four-year term. Prior to their 2010-2014 term, the commissioners opted to waive the scheduled salary increase of 12.5 percent, according to Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Kelly Shannahan, so their salaries remained $25,000.

SHA Assures No Baltimore Avenue Repaving Until OC Undertakes Streetscape Project

OCEAN CITY — After resort officials were blindsided somewhat last summer by a State Highway Administration plan to repave and replace sidewalks along Baltimore Avenue before the town moved forward with a major redesign of the corridor, SHA officials this week said they would stand back until the town is ready.

For the last year or so, SHA contractors have been systematically replacing the sidewalks throughout Ocean City to bring them into Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. In June, SHA officials told the town a next phase of that project tentatively scheduled for this fall would begin tackling the sidewalks along the Baltimore Avenue corridor.

Resort officials were somewhat blindsided by that announcement because the town was ready to embark on a major rehabilitation of the Baltimore Avenue corridor from North Division Street to 15th Street, including the undergrounding of utilities, the removal of unsightly poles and other aesthetic improvements. If SHA had moved forward to repave Baltimore Avenue and retrofit the sidewalks as planned this year, the major rehabilitation of the corridor would have to be put on hold, perhaps for years. However, SHA Assistant District Engineer Brett Deane on Wednesday eased the Mayor and Council’s concerns about the SHA project interfering with the proposed redesign of Baltimore Avenue.

“The Baltimore Avenue section is on hold per your request,” he said. “While the town looks at a master plan for that corridor, we will not do anything. We won’t do anything until we hear from you and get the go-ahead.”

The Democratic Party Is Still Having A Lot Of Trouble Raising Money

Tom Perez presided over the worst October in nearly two decades.

The anti-Trump "Resistance" may still be active in some communities, but it's definitely not cutting any checks to the Democratic Party.

According to fundraising numbers released on Tuesday, the Democratic Party — and it's leader, Tom Perez — managed to raise only $3.9 million in October, one-third of the $9.2 million raised by the Republican National Committee. That's the worst October the DNC has had in more than 15 years.

October took the Republican Party out of debt; it's now raised $113.2 million for the year, with around $40 million ready in the bank for the 2018 mid-term elections. Democrats, meanwhile, have raised approximately half that — $55 million — and have only $5 million available for 2018 races. They're also still struggling with a whopping $3.2 million in debt from the 2016 campaign.

LEGENDARY COMMENTS BY GEORGE CHEVALLIER 11-25-17

Coming Home

While his years in the lumber camps of South Carolina must have entailed many hardships, my grandfather never said much about them except for the few amusing stories which he related to me.

His next stop was Cincinnati, where he worked for a carriage maker. It was here that he learned many of the skills that carried him through life. One of the most amazing things was how a 19 year old boy could manage to get a photo of himself back to Salisbury without any damage. This photo was made into two post cards. I have both of them. One was sent to my grandmother before they were married. The card, sent in 1908, was addressed to Josephine Kelly, 200 Second St., Salisbury, Md.

I went to look for this house and figured it was on the corner of Second and Pearl. There is nothing there now, so I figured that time had claimed another milestone in my life. Then I came across a book issued by the City of Salisbury in October, 1952. The City decided to renumber all the streets in Salisbury. This book gave all the old numbers with the corresponding new numbers. This has proved to be an invaluable tool in researching any address in Salisbury prior to October, 1952. The new address was 134 Second St. and there is a house on it. Verification of it being the same house was made through the comparison with a photo I have of her sister standing on the front porch in 1906. The post card he sent to her was cut into an oval and framed to be cherished her entire life, for it was always displayed prominently in their house. The other resides in my post card collection. As you can see by the photo of the card, he really dressed up to have his picture taken. He had also not started growing his mustache yet (or he wasn’t old enough to grow a decent one).

From Cincinnati, he went to Minnesota where he found work in the wheat fields. While there he became enamored of a certain young lady who was the owner’s daughter on the farm where he worked. I do know that he slept in the hayloft in the barn. Her parents never thought he was good enough for their daughter. He didn’t have any money and he didn’t have any land. So he returned to Salisbury in 1910 with hopes that he could make enough with his new found skills to impress them when he returned. However, as my grandmother told me years later, when he returned she “set her little cap for him” and he never again moved away from Salisbury.

Donald Trump: Congress Should Release Names of Members Who Settle Harassment Cases

President Donald Trump believes that Congress should release the names of every lawmaker who settled harassment cases quietly with taxpayer money.

“I do. I really do, I think they should,” Trump said when asked about his opinion on proposed transparency for the congressional Office of Compliance.

Trump also reacted to several reports of prominent men in media, entertainment, and politics accused of unwanted advances, harassment, sexual misconduct, and abuse toward women.

When asked by reporters to respond to the “pivotal moment in our nation’s history” for women, Trump appeared pleased that improper behavior was getting exposed.

Steve Bannon Says One Thing Has Forever Broken the Democrat Party

Stephen K. Bannon believes that the Democratic Party’s obsession with identity politics will ultimately backfire against them. In fact, he believes this has broken the party to such a degree that it will never recover.

The process has already begun.

In his new book Bannon: Always the Rebel, released on Monday, Keith Koffler notes that the former White House Chief Strategist revealed a deep flaw in the Democratic Party’s hand that showed its poker face as a transparent window to the true nature of the party’s illusion of strength.

It was through Bannon’s travel ban, which was expeditiously rolled out, that this revelation was made. The ban, quickly branded a “Muslim Ban” by the left, and some on the right, was intended to take attention off a second order that Bannon believed was much more significant; the “Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements” order signed on January 25, which called for building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border to keep illegal aliens out.

CNN Blackout On FBI Probe Of Bob Brady

It has been 24 hours since news broke that Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. Bob Brady is under FBI investigation for allegedly paying his primary opponent to drop out of the race, but CNN has published zero articles and devoted zero airtime to the story.

The FBI was granted a search warrant for Brady’s campaign email,BobCongress@Aol.com, as part of its investigation into payments Brady’s campaign allegedly made to 2012 primary opponent Jimmie Moore. Two of Brady’s political consultants have already been charged in connection with the investigation.

A search of CNN’s website shows the news outlet has yet to publish an article acknowledging the investigation into the congressman.

And while CNN devoted plenty of coverage to President Trump’s feud with Lavar Ball, the father of UCLA basketball player LiAngelo Ball, the network has yet to even acknowledge the investigation into Brady on-air since the news broke, according to broadcast monitoring service TVEyes.

NR 11/22/17 Carbon Monoxide Alarm Requirement for Maryland Rental Properties

In 2016, the Maryland General Assembly passed House Bill 0849 and its companion Senate Bill 0182. Both bills require the installation of carbon monoxide alarms for any new and existing rental dwelling units. This includes any type of dwelling unit that can be rented to an individual or family.

This legislation requires that a carbon monoxide alarm (CO) be installed outside of each sleeping area and on every level to include the basement in a building that contains any fuel burning equipment, wood burning appliance or has an enclosed attached garage. They are not required in rental dwelling units that are powered solely by an electric power supply.

Carbon monoxide alarms can be hardwired with a battery backup, battery powered that has a ten year battery with a sealed tamper resistant compartment or connected to an on-site control unit that monitors the carbon monoxide alarm remotely so that a responsible party is alerted when the device activates the alarm signal and receives its primary power from a battery or the control unit. Our recommendation for multi-family units is to replace the current hard wired smoke alarm with a combination smoke alarm/carbon monoxide alarm unit. The applicable requirements of Title 9 of the Public Safety Article regarding the installation of smoke detection systems would still apply for this installation.

The installation of the carbon monoxide alarms shall be in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and NFPA 720 for the Installation of Carbon Monoxide Warning Equipment in Dwelling Units. Carbon monoxide alarms must be listed by a nationally recognized testing laboratory that is approved by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, tasteless, and potentially toxic gas that is produced by the incomplete combustion of liquid fuels, solid fuels, or natural gases. Carbon monoxide poisoning can cause symptoms similar to the flu, such as: headache, nausea, fatigue, dizziness, and irritability. High concentrations of CO can cause vomiting, loss of consciousness, and even death. Carbon monoxide poisoning can occur in small amounts over a long period of time and in large amounts in a short period of time.

Although earlier is highly recommended, carbon monoxide alarms must be installed in all rental dwelling units by April 1, 2018.

Judicial Watch Dumps Explosive New FBI Emails From McCabe's Conflict Review

Comey disregarded conflict of interest involving McCabe wife’s Senate campaign

Judicial Watch has just dumped a new treasure trove of FBI emails regarding Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s conflict check relative to the Clinton email investigation.

For those who missed it, we reviewed all of McCabe’s many scandals here: FBI Director McCabe Subject Of Three Separate Federal Inquiries Into Alleged Misconduct – Report

Ironically, this particular FOIA request was filed in October 2016 under the Obama administration but they apparently just “didn’t have time” to get to it.

The Enemy Amongst Us - Charles Krauthammer

”There's a reason why in New York Harbor we have the Statue of Liberty,
Not the Statue of Equality.”
An article from the New York Post:

I do not understand how living in a country with its democracy established over 200 years ago, and now, for the first time in history, suddenly we have one of our former presidents set up a group called "Organizing for Action" (OFA).

OFA is 30,000+ strong and working to disrupt everything that our current president’s administration is trying to do. This organization goes against our Democracy, and it is an operation that will destroy our way of governing. It goes against our Constitution, our laws, and the processes established over 200 years ago. If it is allowed to proceed then we will be living in chaos very much like third world countries are run. What good is it to have an established government if it is not going to be respected and allowed to follow our laws?

If you had an army some 30,000 strong and a court system stacked over the decades with judges who would allow you to break the laws, how much damage could you do to a country? We are about to find out in America!

Our ex-president said he was going to stay involved through community organizing and speak out on the issues and that appears to be one post-administration promise he intends to keep. He has moved many of his administration's top dogs over to Organizing for Action.

OFA is behind the strategic and tactical implementation of the resistance to the Trump Administration that we are seeing across America, and politically active courts are providing the leverage for this revolution.

OFA is dedicated to organizing communities for "progressive" change. Its issues are gun control, socialist healthcare, abortion, sexual equality, climate change, and of course, immigration reform.

OFA members were propped up by the ex-president's message from the shadows: "Organizing is the building block of everything great we have accomplished Organizers around the country are fighting for change in their communities and OFA is one of the groups on the front lines. Commit to this work in 2017 and beyond."

OFA's website says it obtained its "digital" assets from the ex-president's re-election effort and that he inspired the movement. In short, it is the shadow government organization aimed at resisting and tearing down the Constitutional Republic we know as AMERICA.

Paul Sperry, writing for the New York Post, says, “The OFA will fight President Donald Trump at every turn of his presidency and the ex-president will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House."

Sperry writes that, “The ex-president is setting up a shadow government to sabotage the Trump administration through a network of non-profits led by OFA, which is growing its war chest (more than $40 million) and has some 250 offices nationwide. The OFA IRS filings, according to Sperry, indicate that the OFA has 32,525 (and growing) volunteers nationwide. The ex-president and his wife will oversee the operation from their home/ office in Washington DC.

Think about how this works.. For example: Trump issues an immigration executive order; the OFA signals for protests and statements from pro-immigrant groups; the ACLU lawyers file lawsuits in jurisdictions where activist judges obstruct the laws; volunteers are called to protest at airports and Congressional town hall meetings; the leftist media springs to action in support of these activities; the twitter sphere lights up with social media; and violence follows. All of this happens from the ex-president's signal that he is heartened by the protests.

If Barack Obama did not do enough to destroy this country in the 8 years he was in office, it appears his future plans are to destroy the foundation on which this country has operated on for the last 241 years.

Charles Krauthammer
