Want a healthy brain? Have eggs for breakfast
Having eggs for breakfast does not increase the risk of dementia, a new study has found.
In fact, eating them may actually help to boost brain functions, scientists now claim.
Full of dietary cholesterol, previous research has linked them to heart attacks, high blood pressure and weight gain.
It is widely known that conditions which damage the heart, arteries or blood circulation all increase the risk of Alzheimer's disease.
But research has discovered that eating eggs only slightly affects blood cholesterol levels.

Glenn Greenwald Slams The 'Unverified Claims' Of The Democrat-Cheered Deep State's War With Trump
In January, 1961, Dwight Eisenhower delivered his farewell address after serving two terms as U.S. president; the five-star general chose to warn Americans of this specific threat to democracy: “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.” That warning was issued prior to the decadelong escalation of the Vietnam War, three more decades of Cold War mania, and the post-9/11 era, all of which radically expanded that unelected faction’s power even further.
This is the faction that is now engaged in open warfare against the duly elected and already widely disliked president-elect, Donald Trump. They are using classic Cold War dirty tactics and the defining ingredients of what has until recently been denounced as “Fake News.”
Their most valuable instrument is the U.S. media, much of which reflexively reveres, serves, believes, and sides with hidden intelligence officials. And Democrats, still reeling from their unexpected and traumatic election loss as well as a systemic collapse of their party, seemingly divorced further and further from reason with each passing day, are willing — eager — to embrace any claim, cheer any tactic, align with any villain, regardless of how unsupported, tawdry and damaging those behaviors might be.
The serious dangers posed by a Trump presidency are numerous and manifest. There are a wide array of legitimate and effective tactics for combatting those threats: from bipartisan congressional coalitions and constitutional legal challenges to citizen uprisings and sustained and aggressive civil disobedience. All of those strategies have periodically proven themselves effective in times of political crisis or authoritarian overreach.

The Black Community and Crime
The FBI reported that the total number of homicides in 2015 was 15,696. Blacks were about 52 percent of homicide victims. That means about 8,100 black lives were ended violently, and over 90 percent of the time, the perpetrator was another black. Listening to the news media and the Black Lives Matter movement, one would think that black deaths at the hands of police are the major problem. It turns out that in 2015, police across the nation shot and killed 986 people. Of that number, 495 were white (50 percent), 258 were black (26 percent) and 172 Hispanic (17 percent). A study of 2,699 fatal police killings between 2013 and 2015, conducted by John R. Lott Jr. and Carlisle E. Moody of the Crime Prevention Research Center, demonstrates that the odds of a black suspect’s being killed by a black police officer were consistently greater than a black suspect’s getting killed by a white officer. Politicians, race hustlers and the news media keep such studies under wraps because these studies don’t help their narrative about racist cops.
The homicide victim is not the only victim, whether he is a criminal or not, for there are mourning loved ones. No one ever fully recovers from having a son, daughter, husband, mother or father murdered. Murder is not the only crime that takes a heavy toll on the black community. Blacks are disproportionately represented as victims in every category of violent crime — e.g., forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault.

Ark. mother of four builds home by watching YouTube tutorials
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- With limited funds, but the wish to give each of her kids a room to call their own, one mom in Bryant decided to build her own home. And not with the usual instruction you'd think.
The Brookins family turned a traumatic experience into a story they are now sharing with the world in a book. Rise, How a House Built a Family tells a story of how they built their home in 2008 using YouTube tutorials.
After leaving a domestic violence situation, Cara Brookins and her four children needed a new place to call home. Financially, she knew she could not afford to purchase anything, but that didn’t stop her from giving herself and her children a fresh start.
"We had been just so emotionally kicked down,” said Brookins. She came up with the idea to build their own home. “We could afford all the supplies so we just put it together ourselves.”

Life Insurance Policy Locator Tool Now Available to Marylanders
Database will to help consumers find lost life insurance policies, annuities | |
BALTIMORE — The Maryland Insurance Administration and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) today announced a national database to help find a deceased person’s lost life insurance policies and annuities and potentially recover unclaimed benefits.
The NAIC’s Life Insurance Policy Locator provides nationwide access for assistance with finding life insurance policies and annuities. An estimated $1 billion in benefits from life insurance policies are unclaimed, according to Consumer Reports. The new tool builds on the life insurance policy locator programs developed separately in a number of states before this launch.
“There are many people who do not know where to begin when searching for a lost life insurance policy or annuity,” said Maryland Insurance Commissioner Al Redmer, Jr. “The life insurance policy locator streamlines and simplifies the process for consumers and insurance companies.”
In 2015, life insurers paid more than $74 billion in insurance policy benefits to consumers nationwide. Since 2010, state insurance regulators have investigated unclaimed life insurance benefits. To date, nearly 23 regulatory actions have resulted in returning more than $6.75 billion life insurance proceeds to U.S. consumers. This new tool is intended to make it easier for policy beneficiaries to find lost policies and potentially claim life insurance policy benefits.
All consumer requests in this tool are encrypted and secured to maintain confidentiality. Participating insurers will compare submitted requests with available policyholder information and report all matches to state insurance departments through the locator. Companies will then contact beneficiaries or their authorized representatives. To learn more about the Life Insurance Policy Locator, please see the Frequently Asked Questions tab.

Va. Specialty Food Company Sold To Eastern Shore Native
MELFA – Blue Crab Bay Co. founder Pamela Barefoot announced the sale of her business and its assets last week to Maryland Eastern Shore native Elizabeth Lankford.
The new ownership marks the near-end of Barefoot’s involvement with the specialty food company, where she spent nearly 32 years building a successful business from her brainchild.
Barefoot, 66, said she has been thinking of an “exit strategy” in recent years that would allow her to gradually retire and give the next owner the opportunity to continue building the brand from its current location in Melfa, Va.
“I’ve had offers over the years from people who wanted to buy the brand, but they didn’t want the building or the employees,” she said. “I just hated that. So I’ve been waiting and waiting for somebody to come along, and a couple of years ago Elizabeth came along and it’s a dream come true for me.”

I can't believe what happened last night!!
I can't believe what happened last night!! I don't know if I should post this as an being in the wrong place at the wrong time or what?
We went down to that gas station to buy a Mountain Dew because Ron hadn't gone shopping yet and I had been wanting one.
When Ron pulled up to go inside, we noticed these two police officers looking at a woman who was smoking while fueling up. I saw her and said to myself, "Ummm...what an idiot! With the police right there too!" I'm not sure who these two officers were, but one looked familiar.
Ron went in and got my Mountain Dew, and I stayed in the van and as I saw him checking out, I hear someone screaming! I look out the window, and that woman's arm was on fire! She was tossing about, waiving her arm around and just going crazy!
Ron ran outside, and the police officers had put her on the ground and were putting the fire out with an extinguisher. The police officers then put handcuffs on her and were about to put her in their car!!!
I was like, "What in the world?!?!" So, being the concerned citizen that I am, I waved one of them over to my window and asked them what they were arresting her for. I figured that catching her arm ablaze would be punishment enough, right?!?! He looked me dead in my eye and said...
"For waiving a firearm!"

Peter Schweizer: Your Money Is Being Used to Help Bankroll the World Economic Forum in Davos. Why?
Peter Schweizer, Breitbart senior editor-at-large, president of the Government Accountability Institute, and author of the best seller Clinton Cash wants to know why Americans are helping to foot the tab of the “elite of elites” at the World Economic Forum being held next week in Davos, Switzerland.
This article first appeared at Fox News Opinion:
Later this month hundreds of private jets are expected to descend on a small town in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland, for a few brief days.
They will be carrying the elite of the elite, who will be attending the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Held in the beautiful Alpine mountain resort of Davos-Klosters, attendance is strictly by invitation only. Basic membership in the WEF costs $50,000. A premium membership can set you back $500,000. But in recent years the WEF has enjoyed another source of income. Since 2013, the Obama administration has been sending foreign assistance dollars to the WEF through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). According to government records, the tab to taxpayers thus far is $26 million.

WJZ’s Pat Warren was in Annapolis Wednesday as lawmakers began their 90 day session.

Trump says Pharma ‘getting away with murder’
President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday attacked the pharmaceutical industry for high drug prices and for manufacturing overseas, saying he will create new procedures for bidding on drugs.
The industry is “getting away with murder,” Trump said in his first press conference since he was elected, sending pharma stocks plunging.
“Pharma. Pharma has a lot of lobbies, a lot of lobbyists, a lot of power,” he said, making the industry the latest target of his frequent attacks on business since the November election which have included the auto and aerospace industries.
Trump said pharmaceutical companies will be coming back to the United States from overseas.
“Our drug industry has been disastrous. They’re leaving left and right. They supply our drugs but they don’t make them here, to a large extent,” Trump said.
To address high prices, “the other thing we have to do is create new bidding procedures for the drug industry,” he said.
The United States is “the largest buyer of drugs in the world” but does not bid properly, he said. With the changes to bidding procedures, which he did not specify, “We’re going to save billions of dollars.”

Pence: Media Seeks to ‘De-legitimize’ Incoming Administration
Vice-president elect Mike Pence criticized BuzzFeed and CNN for publishing “fake news” that can “only be attributed to media bias.”
The charge came after both media outlets pushed unverified and unsubstantiated report about Donald Trump’s supposed ties to Russia.
Pence said that Trump is “bringing together men and women of extraordinary capability,” with an “unprecedented calibre of leadership and background.” That record is likely the reason behind the “concerted effort from some in the mainstream media to delegitimize this election and demean our incoming administration,” he said.

Investors Bolt Mexico as Peso Enters Free Fall
Global investors are fleeing Mexico’s financial markets, sending the peso to record lows on mounting concerns that Donald Trump’s trade policy could end the country’s privileged status among developing countries.
The peso on Wednesday tumbled to another all-time low against the dollar as Mr. Trump pledged to change U.S. trade policy with Mexico. “Mexico has taken advantage of the United States,” he said during his press conference. “It’s not going to happen anymore.”
The Mexican currency weakened 0.3%—at 21.8609 from 21.8009 late Tuesday—again frustrating Mexican central-bank efforts to slow the currency’s decline. Bank officials said Tuesday that they spent $2 billion last week to prop up the peso, which has weakened 16% against the dollar since the U.S. election.

CNN Statement Distances Network from Buzzfeed Fake News Dossier
CNN has released a statement trying to distance their reports from BuzzFeed’s decision to publish unverifiable memos about president-elect Donald Trump.
Midday Tuesday, CNN tweeted a full statement from their Twitter account saying,
CNN’s decision to publish carefully sourced reporting about the operations of our government is vastly different than BuzzFeed’s decision to publish unsubstantiated memos. The Trump team knows this. They are using BuzzFeed’s decision to deflect from CNN’s reporting, which has been matched by the other major news organisations.
The statement continues,
We are fully confident in our reporting. It represents the core of what the First Amendment protects, informing the people of the inner workings of their government; in this case, briefing materials prepared for President Obama and President-elect Trump last week. We made it clear that we were not publishing any of the details of the 35-page document because we have not corroborated the report’s allegations.
The statement then poses a direct challenge to the transition team of President-elect Trump,
Given that members of the Trump transition team have so vocally criticized our reporting, we encourage them to identify, specifically, what they believe to be inaccurate.

Berlin Council Assures Skate Park A Priority For Town
BERLIN – Town leaders reaffirmed their commitment to building a skate park during this week’s discussion of Berlin Falls Park.
The need for a skate park in Berlin came up throughout the heated debate at Monday’s council meeting regarding a citizen-driven campaign to rename Berlin Falls. Afterward, Councilman Thom Gulyas assured the residents in attendance that a skate park remained a top priority for the town.
“I know a number of us are pushing on it, unfortunately it just takes time,” Gulyas said.
Throughout his presentation of a petition in support of renaming Berlin Falls Park in honor of a retired mailman, resident Bill Todd alluded to the town’s need for a skateboard park. He referenced the children who can often be seen skateboarding and riding their bikes down Berlin’s streets and sidewalks.

Nancy Pelosi Blames Media, Russians for Hillary’s Loss
For weeks, Democrats across the country have been insisting that “Russian hacking” was behind President-elect Donald Trump’s amazing victory over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in November.
At a news conference last week, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi had a little bit of a meltdown and started accusing reporters of being in collusion with the Russians, Real Clear Politics reported.
“I really say to you, my friends in the press, with all due respect for the guardians of the First Amendment that you are, that you were accomplices in this,” she stated.
“It was every single day you reported that there was an email that was embarrassing to the Clinton (campaign) without saying, ‘We know this because of disruption by a foreign power into our electoral system,'” she added.
It’s hysterical that Pelosi would accuse the media of trying to sabotage the Clinton campaign when, in fact, the opposite was true. The media barely reported on the hacked emails; they were too busy trying to destroyTrump’s campaign.
“You knew that. You knew it was the Russians. And so did it affect the Clinton campaign? Of course it did. Would it have come out differently? I don’t know, because there are many factors in an election,” Pelosi continued, waving her arms about wildly as if possessed.

New summer pro football league aims to offer paid alternative to college football
A group of organizers with deep NFL ties plans to launch a new professional football league, with the ambition of giving promising young players an alternative to college football that offers a salary and instruction they feel is lacking in the college game.
Pacific Pro Football aims to begin play in 2018 with four teams based in Southern California. Unlike many other start-up leagues, its talent pool will be limited to athletes who are less than four years removed from high school graduation. The goal is to give young prospects a professional outlet to prepare for the NFL, said Don Yee, the league’s CEO.
The league launches in the midst of a growing debate about amateurism and a college model that rewards student-athletes with scholarships but not salaries. Labor lawyers have challenged the NCAA, and the battle is being waged in several court rooms across the country. Yee has been an outspoken critic of the college model and says his league will treat young athletes as employees, like any other pro sports outfit.
“As I’ve thought about this and studied it for years, I felt that it would be terrific if these emerging football players had a choice in determining how they wanted to get better at their craft,” said Yee, the longtime agent of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Berlin Looks To Address New Year’s Eve Concerns
BERLIN – Berlin’s mayor has asked town staff to work with police to find ways to increase security at the next New Year’s Eve celebration.
The directive came after Councilman Thom Gulyas said he was approached by several residents who were concerned about the littering, public urination and other problems that occurred at the recent event.
“I do think we need to figure out a strategy that addresses the issue,” Mayor Gee Williams said.
Gulyas brought up the subject of New Year’s Eve Monday when the council was asked to approve the town’s list of annual events that would include alcohol. One of those was the New Year’s Eve ball drop.

World Bank: Trump Tax Cuts Could Jump-Start Global Economy
President-elect Donald Trump’s tax cuts and spending plans could deliver a shot in the arm to the U.S. economy, lifting growth around the world, although uncertainty about his trade policies adds to the risks, according to the World Bank.
The Trump administration could squander the economic gains of fiscal stimulus if it imposes new trade barriers that provoke retaliation by other countries, the Washington-based development lender said Tuesday in the latest update to its global economic outlook.
Overall, it’s too early to assess what the net impact will be of Trump’s economic policies, the World Bank said. Accordingly, it left its forecast for U.S. growth this year and next unchanged, at 2.2 percent and 2.1 percent, respectively. The outlook doesn’t incorporate the expected effect of Trump’s policy proposals, according to the report.
The bank projects the world economy will grow 2.7 percent in 2017, down 0.1 percentage point from its forecast in June. Stalling trade, weak investment and heightened policy uncertainty have dampened global economic activity, pushing growth down to an estimated 2.3 percent last year -- the slowest rate since the financial crisis.
The World Bank estimates global growth will pick up to 2.9 percent next year, also down 0.1 percent from its June call.

Frederick County Man Arrested For Child Pornography
(Frederick, MD) – Maryland State Police computer crimes investigators have arrested and charged a Frederick County man with the possession and distribution of child pornography.
The suspect is identified as Jeremy Paul Davidson, 28, of Frederick, MD. He is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography, three counts of distribution of child pornography, and one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Subsequent to his arrest, Davidson was transported to the Frederick County Central Booking Center for processing and to await an initial appearance before a court commissioner.
Earlier this year, an online investigation began involving the distribution and possession of child pornography by the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators obtained images of child pornography that were being distributed from a specific internet address.
When it was determined the suspect lived outside of their jurisdiction in Worcester County, the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit was requested to take the lead in the investigation. Further investigation led to the identification of the suspect and his exact location in Frederick County.
Troopers obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence which was served at 5:30 a.m. this morning. Davidson was identified and found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was subsequently arrested without incident.
Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit is the lead in the investigation. Assistance was provided by troopers from the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack, the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, the Frederick City Police, and Homeland Security Investigations.
The investigation continues..

Airport Shooter Converted to Islam, Identified as Aashiq Hammad Years Before Joining Army
The Ft. Lauderdale Airport shooter is a Muslim convert who years before joining the U.S. Army took on an Islamic name (Aashiq Hammad), downloaded terrorist propaganda and recorded Islamic religious music online, according to public records dug up by the investigative news site of an award-winning, California journalist. This is pertinent information that the Obama administration apparently wants to keep quiet, bringing up memories of the Benghazi cover up, in which the president and his cohorts knowingly lied to conceal that Islamic terrorists attacked the U.S. Special Mission in Libya.
Information is slowly trickling out that links the Ft. Lauderdale Airport shooter to radical Islam while the official story from authorities is that the gunman is a mentally ill, Hispanic Army veteran named Esteban Santiago that became unhinged after a tour in Iraq. Only one mainstream media outlet mentions the possibility of Santiago’s “jihadist identity,” burying it in a piece about New York possibly being his initial target. A paragraph deep in the story mentions that investigators recovered Santiago’s computer from a pawn shop and the FBI is examining it to determine whether he created a “jihadist identity for himself using the name Aashiq Hammad…” The rest of the traditional mainstream media coverage promotes the government rhetoric that omits any ties to terrorism even though early on a photo surfaced of Santiago making an ISIS salute while wearing a keffiyeh, a Palestinian Arab scarf.
The public records uncovered in the days after the massacre suggest Santiago (Hammad) is a radical Islamic terrorist that’s seriously committed to Islam. Besides taking on a Muslim name, he recorded three Islamic religious songs, including the Muslim declaration faith (“there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger”) known as the Shahada. He also posted a thread about downloading propaganda videos from Islamic terrorists on a weapons and explosives forum. The investigative news site that unearthed this disturbing information connected the dots between Santiago, who is of Puerto Rican descent, and Hammad, an identity he created in 2007.

Pew: Obama’s true legacy is divided nation, bad race relations
'Stark partisan fissures are likely to persist and may deepen'
Barack Obama leaves the presidency with the nation more divided than at any time in decades, race relations at a new low and a surge in atheism, according to a new survey by Pew Research.
The survey concludes the United States is “undeniably different” than when Obama was elected eight years ago, citing such trivia as the introduction of the Apple iPhone during his 2007 campaign and the fact that Twitter was only two years old then.
But things haven’t gone so well on other issues.
“The election of the nation’s first black president raised hopes that race relations in the U.S. would improve, especially among black voters,” Pew said. “But by 2016, following a spate of high-profile deaths of black Americans during encounters with police and protests by the Black Lives Matter movement and other groups, many Americans – especially blacks – described race relations as generally bad.”

Furious Trump Lashes Out At "Fake News" Leak: "Are We Living In Nazi Germany?"
If there was any doubt as to whether the relationship between the President-elect and certain members of the "intelligence community" had fallen on rough times, an angry Tweetstorm from Trump this morning pretty much clears up all the confusion. After the CIA included what is looking increasingly like fabricated nonsense in their official classified intelligence report (something we noted earlier here), Trump took to Twitter to confirm that it is "A COMPLETE AND TOTAL FABRICATION, UTTER NONSENSE" and questioned whether we're "living in Nazi Germany."

Rising Corruption in Maryland Politics
BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Corruption investigations have jolted Maryland with several rising political stars embroiled in scandals.
One is an ongoing and massive federal bribery investigation and has already lead to a guilty plea from former delegate Will Campos, a founder of Maryland’s Hispanic Caucus.
U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein has handled the case, which involves at least 30 months of wiretaps and lawmakers taking bribes for–among other things–liquor licenses– in Prince George’s County.
Rosenstein spoke one-on-one with WJZ about rooting out corruption.
“Corruption is a top priority for us, obstruction is a even more significant priority, that is people are actively attempting to interfere with federal prosecutors– investigators,” said Rosenstein.

The Enemy Within: Bribes Bore a Hole in the U.S. Border
WASHINGTON — In 2012, Joohoon David Lee, a federal Homeland Security agent in Los Angeles, was assigned to investigate the case of a Korean businessman accused of sex trafficking.
Instead of carrying out a thorough inquiry, Mr. Lee solicited and received about $13,000 in bribes and other gifts from the businessman and his relatives in return for making the “immigration issue go away,” court records show.
Mr. Lee, an agent with Homeland Security Investigations at Immigration and Customs Enforcement, filed a report saying: “Subject was suspected of human trafficking. No evidence found and victim statement contradicts. Case closed. No further action required.”

Trump Counsel Says Buzzfeed Allegations Are Fake News
Donald Trump’s counsel Michael Cohen is denying the allegations posted by Buzzfeed that he traveled to Prague or Russia to work out secret financial deals for Trump.
The allegations in the Buzzfeed document dump are that Trump had secret financial dealings with Russia, and that Trump’s special counsel Michael Cohen was a main point of contact between these mysterious Russian forces and Team Trump.
The documents allege that Cohen traveled to Russia and Prague to arrange these deals. But Cohen says he has never even been to Prague or Russia.
“I’m telling you emphatically that I’ve not been to Prague, I’ve never been to Czech [Republic], I’ve not been to Russia,” Cohen said. “The story is completely inaccurate, it is fake news meant to malign Mr. Trump.”
Cohen was contacted by The Atlantic’s Rosie Gray about the story, and Cohen insisted the whole story is fake news.
Buzzfeed’s story, Cohen told Gray, is “totally fake, totally inaccurate.”

Rollins' defense lawyer alleges jury misconduct, judge errors
SNOW HILL — The defense for Cecil County State’s Attorney Ellis Rollins III is alleging that jurors engaged in “misconduct” to reach “what was essentially a compromise verdict” during his trial last month, according to court records.
That Worcester County Circuit Court jury found Rollins guilty of indecent exposure and disorderly conduct and acquitted him of two mirroring charges on Dec. 9 after a two-day trial.
The allegation of jury misconduct is one of several arguments made by Rollins’ defense lawyer, Cullen M. Buke of Ocean City, in his two-page motion for a new trial that he filed on Dec. 19, less than two weeks after the jury returned those verdicts.
The court document also alleges that Worcester County Circuit Court Judge Brian Shockley gave improper jury instructions — by inclusion and by omission — and that he failed to ask potential jurors their “feelings about sex, nudity and masturbation” during the jury selection phase of the trial.

Massive security preparations under way for inauguration, amid protest threats to 'paralyze' DC
The stage is set for President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration – not just the traditional swearing-in platform on Capitol Hill, but a massive security presence amid protest plans to “shut down” the nation’s capital.
Most crowd estimates for the Jan. 20 festivities are far short of the record-setting 1.8 million visitors for President Obama’s historic 2009 inauguration. But the throngs of spectators and protesters alike are enough to create transit, security and hospitality challenges.
“Security is my greatest concern,” Missouri GOP Sen. Roy Blunt, chairman of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, recently said. “No question that on inaugural day, this would be the most appealing target in the world.”
He suggested the city could have as many as 750,000 demonstrators alone.
More than three-dozen law enforcement agencies are working together on security and safety plans in anticipation, including the Capitol Police, FBI, Secret Service and National Guard.
Roughly 7,500 Guardsmen from across the country will come to Washington, along with about 3,000 police officers from various states, with the Secret Service taking the lead on security.

Hungary To Launch Crackdown On All George Soros-Funded Organizations
In a dramatic example of blowback against the establishment in the post-Trumpian world, Hungary announced it plans to crack down on non-governmental organizations linked to billionaire George Soros now that Donald Trump will occupy the White House, according to the deputy head of Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s party, cited by Bloomberg.
The European Union member, and native country of Soros, will use "all the tools at its disposal" to “sweep out” NGOs funded by the Hungarian-born financier, which “serve global capitalists and back political correctness over national governments,” Szilard Nemeth, a vice president of the ruling Fidesz party, told reporters on Tuesday. No one answered the phone at the Open Society Institute in Budapest when Bloomberg News called outside business hours.
“I feel that there is an opportunity for this, internationally,” because of Trump’s election, state news service MTI reported Nemeth as saying. Lawmakers will start debating a bill to let authorities audit NGO executives, according to parliament’s legislative agenda.
As a reminder, Orban was the first European leader to publicly back Trump’s campaign, and was reportedly invited by Trump to visit the US; he has ignored criticism from the European Commission and U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration for building a self-described “illiberal state” modeled on authoritarian regimes including Russia, China and Turkey. In 2014, Orban personally ordered the state audit agency to probe foundations financed by Norway and said that civil society groups financed from abroad were covers for “paid political activists.” As a result of Trump's victory, Orban has felt empowered to further last out against Europe's established structures, and its core supporters.

Newsweek Closed Its Doors with a Slam at Obama
Newsweek Is Now History. The liberal Newsweek Magazine is going out of business, but not before it attacks the President. This is quite an article, even more so when you consider that NEWSWEEK finally had the guts to admit it. WOW! Newsweek COVER!!! It is their last cover before they fold. Also read the article at the end. AMAZING!!!
Finally, Matt Patterson and Newsweek speak out about Obama. This is timely and tough. As many of you know, Newsweek has a reputation for being extremely liberal. The fact that their editor saw fit to print the following article about Obama and the one that appears in the latest Newsweek, makes this a truly amazing event, and a news story in and of itself. At last, the truth about our President and his Agenda are starting to trickle through the protective wall built around him by the liberal media...

Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and phenomenon, the result of a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world's largest economy, direct the world's most powerful military, execute the world's most consequential job?
Imagine a future historian examining Obama's pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League, despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a "community organizer;" a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, less often did he vote "present"); and finally an unaccomplished single term in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions.
