Report: Russia, China Training for War If US Invades NKorea

China and Russia appear to be planning to attack American military forces if they invade their ally North Korea, Newsweek reported Monday.

Newsweek cited two former military officials, including Lieutenant General Wang Hongguang, former deputy commander of China's Nanjing Military Region.

"[T]he war on the Korean Peninsula might break out anytime between now and March next year," Wang said Saturday at a conference hosted by The Global Times, the newspaper of China's ruling Communist Party.

On Sunday, the paper quoted military expert Song Zhongping as saying China could attack U.S. forces if they are perceived as a threat.

  2. There's nothing in NK worth nuking. The country has about 500 miles of paved roads. The artillery laden mountain range north of the dmz. These artillery pieces are on railroad tracks, so the NK's have to roll them into place. Very easy to disturb such a system. Precision strike the capital, military outposts, and that southern facing side of that mountain range, and NK falls within a week. Their country is malnourished, underarmed, and outgunned. The people of NK will rush for the Chinese border. China would rather keep them out, than go into NK. The Chinese will have their hands full with millions attempting to cross over en masse.

China and Russia will say anything for their proxy not to get attacked, but once an attack occurs, they'll walk away from supporting the Kim regime.

and you don't know how these things work if you believe that.

And maybe NK is being used as a springboard to get to something else. Rarely are things as they appear in DC.
