Looks like WBOC is following WMDT's lead by hiring very young and very inexperienced people. Now we can all understand where Jake Day got the idea to hire young too.

Notice They Never Mentioned Dan Satterfield At WBOC
Alex has a proven track record with Delmar Weather that he began, a huge following and been accurately forecasting since the 2009-2010 winter season when he called it right every single time.

ReplyDeleteWhere else is he supposed to get broadcast experience as a young TV meteorologist? Much as we hate to admit it, Salisbury is a provincial town and the local affiliates are provincial stations.

ReplyDeleteWBOC has been doing this for a long time, hire the fresh out of college wanna be news casters and pay them poverty wages, and as soon as the youngsters cut their teeth in the delmarva market they jump ship and move on to bigger markets and better pay. WBOC gets cheap labor and bigger profits and we get crappy service from WBOC. kylie winkler was a complete bumbling amatuer when she was first put on the air at WBOC, she couldn`t even get through 1 story without re-reading the teleprompter and verbally stumbling all over.she has gotten much better but when she is finally proficient at delivering the news she`ll leave and go to a bigger market with better pay just like sooo many of the other wboc news people have, and wboc will just hire another fresh out of college wanna be newscaster at dirt poor wages.

dan is a complete idiot,with all the latest satellites and computers to do all the hard work of predicting the weather dan still can`t do any better at predicting the weather than weathermen did 40 years ago. maybe dan just doesn`t know how to interpret all that satellite and computer data?

ReplyDeleteAll the gripes and comments about Keane at least he acted professionally. The ones left behind have no skills or training, they think they can laugh off their mistakes. News, weather and sports should be done by professionals, they are the laughing stock of Salisbury. I have turned over the last month to not watching anything WBOC airs.

ReplyDeleteI cringe every weekend when Kylie Winkler has to do the news and weather report. I had to stop watching because her stumbling made me nervous. Although she and Chris Weimer are nice to look at they are both a mess on the air.

Alex has a good track record with Delmar Weather, and I'm happy to see him taking his skills further. I personally think he was better than Dan before he even started at WBOC.
ReplyDeleteI cannot watch the Carli husband or wife team any m0re. They look grey, ashen and like two corpses. She has the style of a 30-40 year old and needs to update her look according to her age. He looks like he just woke from the coffin. SORRY but news/weathercasters must be decent to look at and listen to. These two are horrific! Dan seems like a nice person, just not accurate enough in his field.
ReplyDeleteI miss Brian in the morning but wish him much luck in his new endeavor. Dan Satterfield supposedly came from the Weather Channel. I only watch WBOC in time to catch the weather in the AM and then it's only FOXNEWS on my TV.
