NFL bows to protests, will dole out millions to Soros groups

Players Coalition reportedly strikes deal with team owners

(WASHINGTON TIMES) —
Plagued by sagging ratings, player protests and fan outrage, the NFL has thrown a political Hail Mary by reportedly agreeing to dole out millions of dollars to two social justice groups connected to Democratic billionaire George Soros.

Under an agreement with the Players Coalition, NFL owners plan to funnel tens of millions of dollars to the Dream Corps, a leftist advocacy group led by former Obama adviser Van Jones and linked to Mr. Soros, which has called for saving the Clean Power Plan, cutting the prison population by half and providing “sanctuary for all.”

The $89 million, seven-year deal also carves out millions of dollars for the Players Coalition, according to ESPN, which has been advised by Soros-funded groups such as the Campaign for Fair Sentencing of Youth and the Center for American Progress, a leader of the anti-Trump “resistance.”

  9. I heard the amount ($89M) is being re-directed to the other charities the NFL supports. Meaning $89M less going to X charities.

    Something doesn't smell right here.

  12. A lot of people had their tickets this season before the racist kneeling started so I expect next years attendance to be way down compared to this years as most will not be buying season tickets.

  17. Van Jones was an Obama "Energy Guru" who cost American taxpayers over $580 million by investing in failed energy companies. Independent consulting companies told the government it was a huge waste of tax dollars to invest in these 'pie in the sky' energy companies. But Obama and Van Jones went ahead anyway with the program and two years later the money was gone, companies went under and Van Jones put his tail between his legs and then went to CNN as an "energy expert" consultant.
