NBC paid off a Chris Matthews accuser with $40,000, which means that the network has now had nine of its staffers and contributors accused of some sort of misconduct.
This news also means that all the while, as prominent NBC figures like Chuck Todd, Rachel Maddow, Savannah Guthrie, Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, Katie Tur, and the like, were attempting to disqualify President Trump, Roy Moore, Todd Akin, and other Republicans from holding public office over various allegations (or in Akin’s case — mere words) the network was enabling and concealing its own hotbed of sexual harassment.
The real news, though, is that despite the fact NBC has a very serious cultural problem when it comes to its treatment of women, the network is still refusing to go the Fox News route by calling for an outside investigation. After the fall of Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly over harassment allegations (both denied), Fox hired an outside law firm to investigate the allegations as well as how the network handled them.
Nevertheless, the same NBC News that spiked Ronan Farrow’s bombshell Harvey Weinstein reporting, is the same NBC that still insists it should be allowed to investigate itself.

These are the main ones pushing for republicans to be held accountable but not themselves or others in their liberal circle. That is what they call fair and balanced news.
