He was a registered Democrat, but I never felt the hatred from him like I do with today's Democrats. I think he was one of the good Democrats that just didn't change parties like I did. Godspeed.
10:03...because everybody knew you would come through and show your colors. Kirt was a lawman that was just as excited about serving on his last day, as he was the first day. He was a X ray tech by trade in the beginning. Will be greatly missed.
He was a good man, and MSP police officer, correctional officer, and Police Chief for Snow Hill. I grew up in the same neighborhood he lived in and delivered his newspapers during the week, and on Sundays. He was compassionate and just in his duties as a police officer, and cut many breaks with his discretionary powers, that allowed many young persons to put a mistake behind them and lead a productive life. He worked long after most people would have retired, because he loved what he did. If it wasn't for that stupid 3 pack a day habit of his, he probably would still be around. As far as I know, and I've know him all my life, it was his only vice. RIP old friend. Sorry you couldn't have enjoyed retirement longer.
RIP.

He was a wonderful decent man. We could use more like him.
ReplyDeleteHow come no one is fussing over the trifecta on pensions like they do Sheriff Lewis and Chief Duncan?
ReplyDeletePerhaps because this is a post about someone that has passed away and people are showing respect instead of posting ignorant comments.
DeleteRIP Kirk! Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
