Conyers' son was arrested for suspected domestic violence

The son of Rep. John Conyers, who resigned from Congress this week amid sexual harassment accusations, was arrested in Los Angeles in February on suspicion of domestic violence, NBC News has learned.

John Conyers III, who his father endorsed for his Congressional seat as he departed, 'body slammed [his girlfriend] on the bed and then on the floor where he pinned her down and spit on her,' the police report said.

The junior Conyers rebutted her statement saying the girlfriend, who wasn't named in the complaint, was using alcohol and marijuana, and tried to throw him out of the residence.

  5. Come on now, we can over look something of that sort. Give the dude a break and let him have the position he is entitled to. After all his mamma's baby daddy held it for 50 years. Yes, 50 years. Give it to him. As Slow Joe Biden would say, he is clean.

  8. Sounds like the son Urkle would fill the seat just fine. Lacking also.

  9. Oh that's okay that he slaps her around she was supposedly drinking alcohol. Can't think of a better justification.
What a creep. Someone needs to slap him a few times to teach him women are not punching bags.
