Please use the recycling centers at the Civic Center and Sam's Club or our Brick Kiln Road location. Wicomico County appreciates SU's cooperation over the past 15 years. Please contact Wicomico County Public Works - Solid Waste Division at 410-548-4935 with any questions.
Typical of SU not to sponsor a city purpose.
ReplyDeleteAll about SU.
2:20, The recycling bins are from the County, not the City. While this Liberal organization is all about going GREEN, they are full of sh!t.
ReplyDeleteThe County gives tours regularly for SU to help educate students why it is so important to recycle and students are constantly blown away when they learn the TRUTH about how important it is to recycle.
SU is one of the biggest polluters on the entire Eastern Shore. The mere fact that they constantly purchase so many properties and then tear them down, where the hell do you think all of that waste goes!
Here's how I see things on this matter. Culver needs to stop giving these tours. Culver needs to refuse to participate with the 5k run AND the Folk Festival. Get this Folks, Jake Day says on their Website that both events would be 100% waste free events. Talk about a load of crap and yet another massive LIE.
Fruitland closed their's down last year. It's not just SU.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see curbside recycling in the County. If we can't do that, we need more places to drop off, not less.
ReplyDeleteWhy are there no recycling bins in south wicomico county?? Tired of riding into slumsbury

Wait until you see all the trash that is going to be left behind. This is a liberal even and they will be leaving a lot of trash on the ground.
I think if this happens they should put the Salisbury Fire Department to work and make them finally earn their pay for a change.

In case you haven't been informed already, it's the County and not the City.
Idiots like you are too dumb to vote. No wonder you morons stay home during elections.
They've been talking about single stream recycling for years, but it will never come here - too expensive.
ReplyDeleteWhen will all the schools in the county start recycling?? It’s really hypocritical to teach about recycling and not one thing from the schools is. Everything goes in the trash. Practice what you preach WCBOE.
ReplyDeleteI find it very challenging to want to recycle when the County only gives three locations all of which are inconvenient to the majority of the County. For the folks on the edges of the County, it is extremely inconvenient to go to Brick Kiln, the Civic Center or Sams Club. I suppose SU's green initiative is only for the Campus itself which I particularly doubt can be shown accountable. Continued inconvenience in this County..... But I do not see any tax breaks....

What is single stream recycling?
4:44, New locations and more convenient locations are in the works throughout the county. What's exciting are the new community recycling centers you'll be seeing in developments. Some have already come on board and the first of its kind will be coming very soon, we'll keep you posted.
ReplyDeleteLook, there's NOTHING convenient about recycling but it is our duty to make a difference and save our landfills from growing so fast. I believe the increase in just the last year alone is a 400% increase in volume at the landfill. This is a very serious matter.
To those of you who were rejected trying to claim Culver doesn't like recycling, you people are so full of crap it isn't funny. I'll be doing a major article on this in the very near future.
Then it would be great to have another recycling place in the south part of Salisbury/county or have the county do curbside.
