UCLA team returns from China without arrested players

The UCLA basketball team returned to Los Angeles from China on Saturday without three players who were arrested on shoplifting charges during the overseas trip.

Freshmen LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley remained in Hangzhou, China, while the rest of the team returned home.

Ball is the brother of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball.

Earlier Saturday, the No. 21-ranked UCLA squad won its season-opening game 63-60 over Georgia Tech in Shanghai.

The three players were questioned by police about allegedly stealing from a Louis Vuitton store next to the team's hotel in Hangzhou, which the Bruins visited before traveling to Shanghai.

  2. Three thugs from UCLA , justice is served , they have no ethics or morals , just criminals from the crib up. China has very strict laws as we should have . Your not in the states where you get a smack on the wrist kids , you go China , lock em up and get rid of the key.

  5. The Chinese aren't going to pander to them just because they are black or mixed. They should spend the rest of the basketball season in jail

  7. I hope that China keeps them locked up for many years. If they are that stupid to steal in a foreign country then they should be locked up. BTW, we all know what race they are.
