GLENARDEN, Md. (ABC7) — As civil lawsuits continue to be filed against Prince George’s County Public Schools alleging that school staff, educator, and a principal were told by students former teacher’s aide Deonte Carraway was sexually abusing children, Maryland lawmakers say they’re working to close a legal loophole.
“There is no penalty if you fail to report,” said Maryland Senator Susan Lee (D-Bethesda). “I think we’re letting down the children that we’re trying to protect against abuse and neglect.”

I had heard that it was illegal for doctors for not reporting abuse of children.
ReplyDeleteMandated reporters too. However, know this, if tou report abuse and you are attacked and/or harassed, you are left on your own to defend your self against retaliation of any kind. No help or assistance in the matter.
