Married teacher and JV cheerleading coach, 23, arrested for sex affair with teen boy student
A married North Carolina teacher and junior varsity cheerleading coach was arrested Wednesday after allegedly having a sexual relationship with a male student.
Katherine Ross Ridenhour, 23, an educator at Cox Mill High School in Concord, N.C., allegedly had a consensual relationship with a 17-year-old male student, FOX46 reported.
The Concord Police Department said Ridenhour and the student had “inappropriate contact” several times during the last month and a half at the school, FOX46 reported.
Feel sorry for the husband but other than that...not seeing a problem. A 17 year old boy isn’t a child any more and be honest, she’s a beautiful girl. I know, I’ll get slammed for this post. Don’t care. In a year he could be fighting or even dying for his country. Time we pushed passed the antiquated “values” imposed upon us by others. As long as it was concensual more power to him!!
I can't understand where all of these women teachers are coming from. When I was a kid/young adult we sometimes saw teachers in the news for sexual assault but most of the time it was a male teacher and female student. In the past 10 years, it seems like every week there is a new female teacher that is being charged with sexual assault of a male student. What is it ladies, can't compete in the big girl market, want to raise them up right, what? I truly do not understand. Some of them go as far as to assault 10 or 11-year-olds. SMH
In North Carolina it is criminal. Not because of the student's age. The age of consent there is 16. Its against the law because she was his teacher: "No employee of a K-12(unless they are not a teacher, administrator, student teacher, safety officer, or coach) may engage in sexual activity with a student , unless they are married, regardless of age." We really don't want students to be sexually with their teachers.
Wow! She's gorgeous!! I guess sexual fantasies are getting the best of female teachers lately. She could have any man she asked. You never heard of this 10 years ago, except in rare occasions. Now it's every other day. More than traffic fatalities in Sussex county!
So her teaching career is over before it ever hardly got started. If she doesn't get put in jail, she will have no problem finding another career that doesn't fire her for her sex life. But I would advise her not to go into politics, at this time in history.
I don't see a thing wrong with the 17 YO guy getting a little nookie. I am sure his grades improved, not to mention his acne. Just look at like chalking up another notch on his gun handle.
At one time, I had a race horse that I stabled at Ocean Downs raceway, and one afternoon I got a call that the 4 year old male horse had kicked holes in a 2"x 12" divider wall trying to get to the mare in the adjacent stall.
Point is, some hormones are so strong that virtually nothing can be done short of neutering in order to prevent the condition.
She will register as a sex offender. Never to teach again, never to work in government, list goes on. However she could work in Hollywood and make millions. Several Hollywood elites are registered!
