  4. I hope so, he has lost touch with most of the people who supported him. Not until recent months he has done all these awkward live Facebook feeds, not sure I have seen any done anywhere other than Ocean City or Berlin. Just like Norm Conway, it's his time to fine something else to do.

  5. IMHO - Jim Mathias is very vulnerable, especially after he voted in favor of the Residential Sprinkler legislation that basically all but put a STOP sign on any and all new residential construction. The residential sprinkler legislation bodes very bad for the poor and especially against the minorities. The NAACP, Maryland Home Builders Ass., Realtors Ass., and virtually all of the so called main stream business organizations are lining up against Jim Mathias. He sealed has his own political fate by his own doings - and now he must pay the price.

  8. James Mathias also voted for Maryland to become a sanctuary state!!!

Political suicide to vote that illegals do not have to obey the same laws that hardworking citizens have to obey.

  9. The guy must be an ignoramus to have voted the way he did on the bill to require residential sprinklers, and, the bill to declare Maryland a sanctuary State. All of the political monies being raised for his reelection by Senate leader Mike Miller and House Speaker Michael Busch won't help his sorry _ ss here on the eastern shore. He's going to be history, just wait and see, ad it was his own choice to vote the way he did.

  10. Hark, some of the comm enters are forgetting another big piece of legislation that Mathias tried to thwart, the Wicomico County elected school board. What makes him a hypocrite is that even in his own home district Worcester - it has an elected school board and yet he opposed Wicomico's proposal to no end trying to deter an elected school board by requiring a hybrid type of representation. I agree with some of the other posters, we will soon have a chance to rid ourselves of this guy. He's simply no good for the eastern shore.

  11. Wow, I wasn't aware of all this, it seems as though every time I see the guy he's pimping a public event to try and win exposure.

  12. Liberal Jim's time is up!
He needs to join Normie in the unemployment line...for essentially the same things - opposing the elected school board - which the citizens want!

  13. We would be voting for Senator Carozza.

  15. Time for a change, although the next election (after 2018) I will vote for the newbie. We really need new blood folks. This same ol same ol SHIP has sailed!

  16. Responding to 4:31 Posting - I agree, and personally, I really wish to drain the whole swamp, all of them. I also want to see some new blood.

  17. And, another little fact forgotten, Jimmy swore there would never be table games at Ocean Downs, unill he got his boss (Royal Plus) the contract. Then, low and behold, who got the license to grow weed on snow hill, yep, again, the company that pays him off, every week. Jim is known to be one of the most dishonest politicians of this generation. Time for him to go !

  18. For all of you saying Jim M voted for the sprinkler systems in new construction, I want you to know he was the one that introduced this legislation and he was on Royal Plus payroll at that time. ($$$$ For Shady Jim M.) He should be locked up.

  19. Jim is the shadow of O Mally. Extreme far left, voted for Maryland to become a sanctuary state. That's so illegals can get drivers license and in state tuition.

  20. Mathias represents the interests of Ocean City, and the wealthy businessmen that run the city. I never liked him, and will continue to vote for anyone who runs against him. He does not represent the rest of us.

  21. My only wish is that Carozza would have refrained from getting the endorsement of Governor Hogan. As everyone well knows, Hogan has kept silent on Trump. And so this is going to be held against him come election time, at least here on the eastern shore.

  22. The entire eastern shore legislature representation is irrelevant. It is a total waste of taxpayers monies as their is no parity or eastern shore autonomy.

You see on the Senate side the eastern shore is outnumbered 44 - 3 as there are 47 MD Senators total.

The representation is just as bad in the House as the eastern shore is again outnumbered 132 - 9 as there are 141 MD Delegates total.

  23. Responding to 9:18 Poster that said; The entire eastern shore legislature representation is irrelevant. It is a total waste of taxpayers monies as their is no parity or eastern shore autonomy.

Response - I agree! Although the eastern shore composes over 90% of Maryland's land area, politically, it is impotent. The MD's eastern shore delegation representative's efforts would be best spent in a move for a secession. Especially since President Trump was penalized and should have been awarded 7 of Maryland's 10 electoral votes. The way the Maryland Legislature went about robbing Trump of the electoral votes is an act of war.

  24. President Trump was robbed of his electoral votes by MD election officials.
Trump won 17 counties verses Hillary's 7. And Trump was very close to winning Anne Arundel County as in the final tally Hillary received 47.8% to Trump's 47.1% - which was very close.

  25. Sounds like the Presidential election was rigged to me.
