Veterans are nearly unanimous in their support for research on medical marijuana — and a majority favor legalizing pot for medical use, an American Legion survey found.
The findings from the nation's largest wartime veterans' service organization were released Thursday, and involved more than 1,300 respondents.
According to the survey, 92 percent of veteran households support research into the efficacy of medical cannabis for mental and physical conditions, and 83 percent believe the federal government should legalize medical cannabis nationwide.
Further, 82 percent of those survey indicated they would want to have medical cannabis as a federally legal treatment option.

I wasn't one of the vets surveyed, but my answers are with the majority.
ReplyDeleteFor those of us that suffer from chronic pain and injuries and PTSD what options are left?? The so called opiod crisis puts everyone in a stereotyped group and any of the mental health meds are doing more harm than good.
ReplyDeleteYou can kill for ur country and even die for ur country but can't have a beer at 18 or a joint at 80. Makes perfect sense to me.
ReplyDeleteConsidering what alcohol does to you there is no good reason it is still illegal. Its all about the money it would disrupt if it was.
ReplyDeleteIt's important that this country takes care of its veterans. And if veterans need marijuana, then they should be catered to. I think veterans should improve family business tax in those with wounded veterans. 82% is a lot! That really says something.
