Mike Ditka sounds off on anthem protests: ‘Go to another country’

Mike Ditka may want to stick to football after his most recent interview.

The legendary Bears coach, who was a guest of NBC’s Jim Gray during the Bears-Vikings game on “Monday Night Football,” was asked little about Chicago rookie quarterback Mitch Trubisky but instead weighed in on anthem protests going in the NFL.

Ditka isn’t a fan and doesn’t see a reason for them either.

“There has been no oppression in the last 100 years that I know of,” Ditka said. “Now maybe I’m not watching it as carefully as other people. I think the opportunity is there for everybody — race, religion, creed, color, nationality. If you want to work, if you want to try, if you want to put effort in, you can accomplish anything.”

Pretty much disqualifies you, on the grounds of being an idiot, from any further consideration of your uninformed opinion.

  2. You wanna talk about one sided!! Jemille Hill calls (disrespects) The POTUS a racist/supremacist. Call for Boycott yes a "BOYCOTT" on owners advertisers which directly hurts ESPN on Twitter for all to see. No denying it. Its there. Gets Al Sharpton into it and now he's threatening law suits against ESPN because shes suspended two weeks. All this mess and she is facing two weeks suspension only and .....wait for it............Hank Williams JR was fired by ESPN for referencing Hitler when having a discussion about Obama???
Its as plain as day the LEFT has lost their freakin minds!! This is crazy! She was insubordinate and has/will cost her employer millions and she is still employed???? 100% if she was white she'd be looking for a new job!

  3. Mike took a lot of shots to the head in his career, even before football helmets were more than plastic buckets, so give him a little room.
