A Viewer Writes: ATT On The Shore

ATT is down on the eastern shore all morning. I would say this is pretty rare. As someone who caries two iphones, one ATT and one Verizon, the ATT service has always been better for me everywhere I go. It is certainly faster than the Verzion.

  1. att is saying it won't be back up until this evening...wow! wonder what happened...

  2. There are at least 75 people at the att store on the north end of sby. The parking lot is full of cars and so is the right lane of rt13. There is a steady stream of cars turning in and then leaving due to lack of parking

  3. You have a VERIZON tech to thank. He "accidentally" severed the AT&T fiber-OP7 cable in Kent Island at the relay. That's what pushes, and repeats service and signal both north and south on the entire DELMARVA peninsula. How convieniant huh?

  4. 1:05 PM that is the price you pay when you use fiber optics... NO fixing it, have to re-run the whole stand of wires or wire that was cut...

    1. Uhhhhhh... before you speak, you should know that fiber can be spliced.

    2. Sure it can be repaired! How do you think they join the end of a cable spool with the next spool, set a whole receive/send station every ten thousand feet or whatever a spool holds? Whoops the cable was cut 25 feet from the connector station time to build a new one there!! It would be too costly and take weeks to put in a whole new cable, not several hrs.!!

    3. What a complete and utter moron you are.
Research before you speak. Or is the “Interweb” not working in mommies basement?

  5. OK then. How is that AT&T working for you now. And, lately, this has no been pretty rare. Maybe it is a process to get better.

  6. I believe the Fiber was severed several years back and ATT lost their signal before. Do you think it was severed at the same place?

  8. Cell Service Alert! Currently AT&T Cellular service is down along the Eastern Shore and many parts of the North East Corridor. There is no timetable on repairs to the network at this time. AT&T has been made aware of the issues.

  17. I keep a freedompop sim in an old phone for emergencies. If you look into it they have a free plan. Just buy the sim.
    Thank yourself later.

So? What does that have to do with what he said? Or are you just trying to impress all us with your superhuman intelligence? We mere mortals thank you, your Excellency.

  20. WBOC and WMDT didn't feel this was news for the citizens and didn't cover it. Looks like Verizon FiOS made a wise decision to get ride of BOC from their lineup. They're useless.
