This morning we published just a few of the items the City Council will be reviewing at tonight's Council Meeting. However, there are a lot more items you are not aware of and we strongly urge that you take the time, (260+ pages) to review the entire packet HERE.
The fact is, Mayor Jake Day and the Salisbury City Council are creating an unbelievable amount of ways to fine people and even create a multitude of new fees.
Let's not forget the City of Salisbury is charging every single property in the city limits a "rain tax", yet NO ONE knows where that money is going or has gone because they certainly haven't done anything to improve pollution in the river. Could it be that those funds went to pay for the removal of the protective railing on the Riverwalk, I don't know, nor do you. I'd like to remind everyone as well, the County is NOT participating in a rain tax, or whatever else the City so conveniently calls is to stay away from the exact term, "rain tax".
We understand the link I've provided is a lot of reading but it is extremely important for City Taxpayers to see what is NOT being covered by the rest of the media.
I keep trying to tell you this is govts end goal, to keep you as slaves... More and more taxes and fees, but you all love them becasue you don;t do anything about them, but complain on a news blog thinking it will fix the problem... Get out and do something about it...
ReplyDeleteSoon, you all will be in the same position you complain other people are in, and that they don't need help and if they only worked they could afford things... Even if you work but are feed or taxed to death, how can you afford anything???? Then think, when you don't pay said fees or taxes what happens to you...
Cut the fire service agreement while your at it . Fat chief needs to make a little less to
ReplyDeleteWhy in the world does the Salisbury Fire Department need a fire marshal. They will be triplicating services done by the County and the State Fire Marshal.
ReplyDeleteWe all know it's to generate revenue to pay for the paid firemen that Jake Day and Jim Ireton hired.
Now don't you all feel stupid for voting for that Libertarian Muir Bota!
ReplyDeleteHow many who are in a range today over changes Mayor and Council proposes are at or on your way to meeting? ......yep, that's what I thought.
