Guide wires are not supposed to be carrying any current whatsoever. Condolences to the family of this unlucky victim, and best wishes for his recovery. And best wishes for a successful wrongful injury suit against the power company and the county, both of whom have huge insurance coverage.
6:20 The roll bar on the mower caught the guide wire pulling anchor out of ground at that point guide wire went slack and touched live over head wire. I bet your the first to get lawyers involved costing everyone money. The guy made a mistake, end of story.
No the story is if the roll bar height brought the guide wire into play the sop should have been to deploy different assets for that area. Supervisor made a big mistake, end of the rest of the story We should all keep this man in our hearts and prayers
Most guide wires have a plastic cover over them. I wonder if this one did, and if not, why? My problem is that the victim had to sit suffering for 20+ min waiting for medical help. Isn't this what all fire and EMS training is intended for? They were only able to stand by and wait for electric company. Do not think I would have been able to do that. Can't imagine someone couldn't have found someway to help.
