Trump Sports Feud Escalates: Demands NFL Chief "Tells Them To Stand"

Update 4: In the latest escalation in his feud with the NFL, Trump just (re)blasted Commission Roger Goodell in a tweet, saying he was trying to "justify" the actions of players who don't stand for the National Anthem. His tweet was sent in response to a statement Goodell released earlier today criticizing Trump for "disrespecting" NFL owners by suggesting they fire players for protesting.
Roger Goodell of NFL just put out a statement trying to justify the total disrespect certain players show to our country.Tell them to stand!
Update 3: As the feud between the president Stephen Curry intensifies, on Saturday afternoon his team the Golden State Warriors, stood with him and announced they will not be attending the White House visit at all. In a statement, the Warriors said that "while we intended to meet as a team at the first opportunity we had this morning to collaboratively discuss a potential visit to the White House," the statement read, "we accept President Trump has made it clear that we are not invited."

It added that "we believe there is nothing more American than our citizens having the right to express themselves freely on matters important to them," the statement continued. "We're disappointed that we did not have an opportunity during this process to share our views or have an open dialogue on issues impacting our communities that we felt would be important to raise.

  1. Apparently the NFL hasn't realized that their fan base is the conservatives. (The liberals think Football is 2 idiots bashing heads.) And conservatives don't yell and scream about what offends them. They vote with their feet.

  3. Hey, Warriors, there's no time for "an opportunity during this process to share our views or have an open dialogue on issues impacting our communities that we felt would be important to raise" minutes before the coin toss just before s football game. You knew that and planned for it! That's about the most ignorant thing said so far in this mess, AND YOU TOOK THE TIME TO WRITE IT DOWN, LOL!

  4. Spot on 1:30 - I believe this entire mess is a back door attempt by the left to damage the NFL. The funniest part is most of the player protesters are probably liberal and too ignorant to realize they are in the means justifies the end process perfected by the liberals. I cannot wait until the NFL and players start losing money. I hope this transfers to the NBA as well. Hey baseball - screw you too!! I'll start only watching pro lacrosse where most players still have to have real jobs to supplement their income.

  6. 1:30pm No one is yelling and screaming about what offends them. They are silently and non-violently taking a knee in protest. The conservatives always complain about violent protests from liberals. This is exacly the opposite of that. No one is being hurt. Looks like now it's the conservatives yelling and screaming that this non-violent protests offends them.

  7. They are going to feel the pain of revenue loss now. The conservatives are the majority of the viewers. They are the ones with jobs that can afford watch a game and by their crappy stuff. The libtards can't go to a game on welfare money.

  8. at work you do what the boss says. Any protesting is done "after hours".

  9. where is the "like" button for 609. Right on. You guys are demonstrating the same "snowflake" tendencies you have been screaming about for months.

  10. It is not "snowflake" tendencies at all. They are more than welcome to protest BEFORE the game. They are more than welcome to protest AFTER the game. They are more than welcome to protest in between games. They can protest the whole of the offseason. But why subject the people who paid to come to the game, the people who subsidised the building of the stadium, and the television viewing audience to their particular protest and why disrespect the national anthem and all that it stands for with their protest? Now we have school children, 8 years old, protesting. What in the heck is he protesting? Now we have some old lady in congress dropping to a knee. The other problem I have with the protest is: What in the hell are they protesting? I bet that if asked seperately what they were protesting they would all have different answers. But the truth is they are protesting President Trump. They hate the fact that he won. Protest social injustice. Do something constructive to fix it. Taking a knee does nothing.

  11. You do realize that these are private organizations/companies, and the President does NOT have the authority to tell them what to do? I don't like the protests either, but the President really has no say over them anyway.

  12. It's called the "bully pulpit".
He may not have a say, but he has influence.
And the NFL cannot win this battle.
Trump will prevail for the same reason he won the election.
His opponents think "the sky is green" narrative is working.
Keep thinking that and keep getting smacked around.
    In every election.

  13. Goodall is scared shitless over being accused of being a racist. He IS a racist for allowing the teams to be predominately black, in a predominately non-black society. White football athletes are discriminated against in the hiring practices of the league and the teams.
