I live 6 miles from the closest town limits and drive 46 miles, one way, to work. I might be able to use a motorcycle, but no way could I make out without motorized transportation. And here on the shore there is no public transportation for people like me.
For years I worked 27 miles from my home and car pooled not because I financially needed to save money...it just made sense both financially I am retired now but if I didn't I would try to find a way to get to a job if I was lucky enough to have one. Young kids give up way to soon now and take too many things for granted.
Yes. Less than 1/2 mile hike. No excuses for me not being able to get there. I'm very fortunate.
ReplyDeleteIf I could I would.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's only about a mile and a half, with a coffee shop on the way. I do it all the time, except during really bad weather.
ReplyDeleteNo way.
ReplyDeleteNo, what crazy person would ride a bike in the city of Salisbury.
ReplyDeleteOr ride what’s laughingly called public transportation in this dump.
DeleteI walk. It's good for me. My car insurance rates even went down.
ReplyDeleteI need a job first. Places like Dollar General don't offer such benefits do they?
ReplyDeleteWork? Haven't had to do that in YEARS! (thankful at that too)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Yes
ReplyDeleteNo, but we still carpool.
