Supporting Christian Baker Who Refused To Create Gay Wedding Cake

What a difference a change in the White House makes.

On Thursday, the Trump Administration’s Department of Justice came down squarely on the side of Jack Phillips, the Christian baker who refused to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple.

Phillips violated the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act after he refused to make a cake for the wedding of Charlie Craig and David Mullins in 2012. Craig and Mullins filed a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, which ruled Phillips violated the state’s anti-discrimination law, a decision upheld by an appeals court. Colorado’s Supreme Court declined to take the case. The case, Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, was appealed to the Supreme Court, and Trump’s DOJ announced on Thursday that it had filed a brief on Phillips’ behalf.

The DOJ joined Phillips in his belief that that his cakes are a form of expression, and he cannot be forced to work on something violating his religious beliefs.

  1. Businesses have the right to refuse doing business with anyone they don't want to do business with. The law has intervened where it shouldn't have in the first place by allowing the lawsuit to go forward. It was not like the bakers maliciously screwed up a commissioned cake as a retaliation for the couple being gay. They simply said they would not make a cake for them. This is their right as independent business to make a determination like this. Why anyone would side with the so-called injured party here is absolutely insane. People really need to stop letting the creeping liberal mentality invade their good common sense and logic.

  2. Internet providers don't like certain websites so they're pulling them down. Nobody says anything about that. I bet these internet CEOs are the first to condemn the poor baker's decisions.

  3. I was watching a show called Graveyard Carz on the Velocity Channel the other night and it's about a guy that is in business to restore old Dodge's that were sent to the dump or wrecked so bad, but this man's love for Dodge vehicles allowed him to rebuild old classic Dodge cars for people. This one guy brought in a few pieces to a Dodge Charger, but it was destroyed so bad that it was in pieces and it wouldn't have really been a restoration so he refused to work on the car for this man.

So if these 2 Homo's filed a complaint under the Obama Administration this owner of Graveyard Carz would have been fined heavily and thrown in jail.

Were we really living in a free country under the Obama Administration??

Its more about the general education level of the average American. People are far to stupid these days to understand a large majority of ehat they hear. Think about the last time you served jury duty. The courts arent pulling allstar college grads.
