Police show sense of humor with viral ‘It’-inspired doughnuts photo

LINCOLN, Calif. (KCRA) —Like a young woman descending into a creepy house’s dark basement to check out a noise, following a line of doughnuts into a storm drain probably is not a good idea for a police officer.

Playing off the stereotype of cops’ penchant for sweet pastries, the Lincoln Police Department posted this photo of four officers and a line of doughnuts into a storm drain that also had a red balloon, the tell-tale lure of the killer clown in Stephen King’s “It.”
