BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Children from across Maryland had their first day of school. But it hasn’t been an easy road for one Dundalk girl. Many are calling her journey to the classroom a miracle.
Amy Yensi reports from Dundalk, her mother says medical marijuana has been a life-saver.
Three-year-old Lillyann Baker, arrives at the Battle Monument School, for another year of learning.
“Just knowing that she actually made it to be in school it makes us happy,” says her mom Cassandra Stefan.
The smile on her face hasn’t always been there. Lillyann suffered a traumatic head injury as an infant and had to be put in a medically-induced coma. She was having multiple seizures on a daily basis, and two powerful anti-seizure medications weren’t helping.

This is a story that's been told for a long, long time, suppressed by government.
ReplyDeleteThe same "high" as THC? No, go back to school.
ReplyDeleteVery happy for the young girl.
ReplyDeleteWait what???? This can't be true!!!! All of the people who don't know jack Sh**T about this subject and who always has two cents worth of comments say there are no benefits for marijuana, and that we only want decriminalized marijuana just so we can buy it and smoke it more!!!! I guess these know it all's know more than researchers and doctors, and even this girl it helps!!!! I have had it all backwards, and all wrong the whole time, I was thought to research and investigate, but apparently all you have to do is pretend you know anything about anything and you are smarter than researchers and doctors and even the patients themselves who are a testament to the drug and benefits... I guess, I am just stupid and missed out becasue I didn't have common core when I was growing up!!!!
