CVS Limiting Opioid Prescriptions Amid National Addiction Epidemic
Opioid prescription rates have more than tripled in the last two decades contributing to the nation’s current opioid addiction crisis, according to CVS. Now, the country’s largest pharmacy chain plans to do something about it by limiting opioid prescriptions.
The pharmacy making these decisions is like the insurance companies deciding that you can't have a certain test or drug or surgery. It's not their decision to make--it's the physician's.
Sounds like CVS may be heading for a lawsuit. They can't deny healthcare prescribed by a physician. It's not my fault crackheads are ending up on heroin. Don't blame the innocent who are in need of pain medication which was rightfully prescribed to the patient.

ReplyDeleteDon't use CVS now, but I'd change if I did. They are not my doctor. It is not their job to second guess my prescribed pain control.
