With the clock ticking, some counties issued curfews for Saturday, and more shelters were opened to absorb the crush of people seeking cover from one of the most powerful hurricanes to hit Florida. |
Brock Long, administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, described Hurricane Irma as “a threat that is going to devastate the United States, either Florida or some of the southeastern states.” |

ReplyDeleteThank you Cliff Clavin. I'm in FLL and not leaving. MSM has turned this into a ratings bonanza. Every 5 minutes I get a call or text from someone up north watching the news. We are busy prepping and securing property in case it actually hits our specific area. The eastern shore is a pimple on the butt of FL. Big state and worst damage will be in a small area compared to the size of entire state.

ReplyDeleteWell they all did just get to view all the coverage of the disaster in Texas, just last week. THOSE images are fresh in their minds. Most of the Texans, that didn't evacuate, lived to regret not leaving. Most...
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of military bases in Florida. Why didnt thry mobilize the national guard and have military transport aircraft flown in to evacuate people? The traffic news is a demonstration of why Houston didn't evacuate. You can't put millions of people on the road at once without massive backups which create more panic.
