A Viewer Writes: Battle of the PD on information

Ever wonder why it is so hard to get information? Each PD web site, some better than others give information. Joe, why is it so damn difficult to find stuff. Some sites are nicely done others are not. Lets put it up for a vote, best worst PD sites to get information from?

  1. They don't want you all scaredy-cats to get more scared than you already are... Like Jake day, hides rapes becasue he wants people to feel safe, especially women, so people will move here or start a business here... Even though you can look up online that we are the top 5 worst places to live per capita of violent crime...

They also don't want you to find evidence of them not doing anything about crime in the first place!!!!

And you people eat it up all day long...

  2. Heck, Crisfield doesn't even have a site. I guess that is why the Chief can always say that crime is down when it is really up. Does anyone believe anything that your government says anymore?

  3. SPD is covering up local Crime to keep the clueless college parents in the dark about crime which would affect the SU $$$$$$$$$

The states attorney's office needs to start a investigation or the FBI .

  4. Wicomico does a good job updating their site. Departments are mandated by state law to post General Orders, and other information.

  5. I have a better question for you Joe... I just watched the Salisbury Police weekly briefing where they discussed a report of a large disorderly crowd of approximately 150 people inside and approximate 150 people outside of the Cookout on S Salisbury Blvd on September 16th around 2am. 4 people were assaulted sending 3 to the hospital with serious injuries.

This happened THREE DAYS AGO and this is the first time the public is hearing about it! Where is the media? Not a peep from the Daily Times, WMDT, WBOC, or even SBY News. How does this happen?

  6. Crisfield did have a site, but felt they could keep in touch with the community better through their Facebook site as they can update it faster than the website. www.crisfieldpd.com forwards to their Facebook site.

Quit slamming them until you know the info 925am.

    1. Last post was September 5th, talking about tropical storm Sandy. Nothing of substance posted.

  7. During the Barrie Tilghman administration, the SPD website under Chief Webster had information on it that was easily five years old, never updated. Webster, whose ego, vanity and dishonesty far exceeded his managerial capabilities, goes down as the worst SPD chief in living memory.

  8. Why does SUPD even claim to be a police department. They are no more than security like they always were when I went there.

Ed Lashley has done nothing to promote SUPD as a real police department. The only time they leave campus is to buy donuts or to visit Wawa for free coffee.

The so called web page doesn't even have a "Bio" for their chief of police.
