WCSO Press Releases - August 9, 2017
Incident: Disorderly Conduct / Resisting Arrest
Date of Incident: 8 August 2017
Location: 200 block of Cedar Way, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Raymond Warren Mathis, 28, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 8 August 2017 at 8:52 a deputy responded to a reported altercation at a residence in the 200 block of Cedar Way in Salisbury. Upon arrival the deputy met with a subject later identified as Raymond Mathis standing in the front yard. The deputy found that Mathis was involved in the altercation and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Mathis. Instead of cooperating with an investigation as to what caused the deputy to respond in the first place, Mathis went on a profanity laced tirade that ultimately drew neighbors out of their homes to see what was going on. After refusing multiple attempts to calm down, the deputy placed Mathis under arrest.
Following his arrest, Mathis became non-complaint and continued his belligerent profanity laced yelling and physically struggled against the efforts of the deputy to transport him back to the Sheriff’s Office. At one point Mathis attempted to place his hands on the deputy.
Mathis was brought to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Mathis on a bond of $3,000.00 in the Detention Center.

There it is!
ReplyDeleteYou just can't fix stupid
Hmm. Let's see.I want to avoid detection. Oh wait, wait. I will buys me a vehicle, and a doo thatt draws attention, not tag the car and store my weed in a jar (probable cause anyone?)!
ReplyDeleteArmchair lawyer: Sufficient cause to to stop vehicle exists due to lack of proper registration. Hairstyle is not PC to search vehicle but odor of weed is. If under 10 grams is a civil violation, then where do people get their 10 grams? The dope man. If it was legal like WA and Co, MD would get the tax revenue and the dope man would be out of business.
ReplyDeleteNo odor needed if jar of weed is visible on seat
ReplyDeleteShows how much you know, the weed dealers will make more money then ever, stuff in the stores cost more, they have a show on the discovery channel talking about the marijuana business in Colorado, all of the street level dealers even jack the prices up but it's still cheaper then buying from the store, guy they had on the show said the cops don't even mess with him there out looking for real drug dealers
ReplyDeleteNot even close to true....... States that have legalized have the cheapest prices by far..... Since states have been legalizing the over price has fallen in general
DeleteYou always see these people being pulled over for such stupid things. Registration, tags, headlights out, speeding. Common sense would tell you to not draw attention to yourself.
ReplyDeleteI know that this is a little off topic but due to some of the answers above I have always told my kids to drive something that does not draw attention to yourself. If you make mega bucks and drive a luxury vehicle there is always someone who wants to take it from you or label you as a MARK. It is nice to practice common sense.
ReplyDelete2:08 Says "located". Does not say in plain view.
ReplyDelete4 hours of paper work. A day of overtime to go to court. The cost to hold him. Electric, food, water. Gas to and from jail and court. What's he do? 30 days if he has some charges... That's 2,000-3,000 in expenses.... All that tax money worth wasting on weed arrests? Anyone can still get it. Now someone new will start to sell. The problem is the system. Weed needs to be legalized. So much money is wasted. When it could be money made off taxes
ReplyDeletethat punks hair looks like the mop in my closet
