Incident: Possession of Cocaine / Resisting Arrest
Date of Incident: 25 August 2017
Location: West Road at Rose Street, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Ivy D. Matthews, 38, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 25 August 2017 at 3:00 PM a deputy stopped a vehicle in which Ivy Matthews was a passenger on West Road in Salisbury. Upon encountering Matthews, the deputy observed that Matthews appeared overly nervous and subsequently asked Matthews who he was. In reply, Matthews provided the deputy with an identity that would eventually be uncovered as false. While investigating the veracity of Matthew’s identity that he provided, Matthews decided to make a run for it and began fleeing from the traffic stop on foot. Deputies pursued Matthews and eventually caught him but not before Matthews struggled against the deputies’ attempts to take him into custody.
Post arrest, a lunch box belonging to Matthews was located inside the vehicle. Inside that lunchbox, a deputy located three individual baggies of what was identified as Cocaine.
Matthews was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Matthews in the Detention Center in lieu of $5,000.00 bond.

Incident: Assault / Reckless Endangerment
Date of Incident: 28 August 2017
Location: 2000 block of Hickman Lane, Nanticoke, MD
Suspect: Marcus K. Hardy, 39, Nanticoke, MD
Narrative: On 28 August 2017 at 12:57 PM a deputy investigated a reported domestic related disturbance at a residence in the 2000 block of Hickman Lane in Nanticoke. The deputy met with a female who advised that she responded to that resident to pick up her child when she was assaulted by her estranged husband, Marcus Hardy. According to the victim, the pair began arguing when Hardy allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat and threw her onto the floor at which point he attempted to kick at her.
The deputy obtained a warrant for Hardy’s arrest and located him the following morning. Upon arrest, Hardy was transported to the Central Booking unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Hardy in the Detention Center in lieu of a bond of $5,000.00.
Charges: Assault 2nd Degree and Reckless Endangerment

Incident: Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute
Date of Incident: 29 August 2017
Location: 1000 block of Mineola Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Devonte O. Farrare, 28, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 29 August 2017 at 9:30 AM, a deputy responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Mineola Avenue in Salisbury for the report of a suspect trespassing inside that residence. Upon arrival, the deputy walked around to the rear of the residence and observed a subject later identified as Devonte Farrare climbing out a rear window. Farrare was subsequently detained at which point it was discovered that Farrare was wanted on four separate Failure to Appear bench warrants.
Farrare was taken into custody on the outstanding warrants and post arrest he was discovered to have three individually wrapped baggies of cocaine in his pants pocket. The total amount of cocaine between the three baggies was indicative of an intent to distribute.
Farrare had also been featured recently on local media outlets as one of Wicomico County’s “Most Wanted” subjects.
Farrare was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Farrare without bond in the Detention Center.
Charges: Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute and Possession of Cocaine
