President Trump took to Twitter Monday to ask why insurance companies and Congress are not being hurt by the failings of Obamacare just as the American people are being hit.
Trump started the day by noting that the unpopular healthcare law is “hurting people” and asked why it isn’t also hurting insurance companies, and also why Congress is exempt.
If ObamaCare is hurting people, & it is, why shouldn't it hurt the insurance companies & why should Congress not be paying what public pays?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 31, 2017
Trump had previously threatened to end what he called “bailouts” for insurance companies and Congress after the failing of the GOP-led Senate to pass either a healthcare reform bill, a flat-out Obamacare repeal, or a so-called “skinny repeal” of Obamacare.

Wow it took you 9 years to realize this dude?
ReplyDeleteBecause you fool the high up government doesn't have to abide by the same laws the lowly people do, Trump of all people should know that already.
ReplyDelete1:37 and 1:45 Of course he knows it. He is being sarcastic hopefully it will make Congress act. Have you ever heard a president say it before? Drain the swamp
ReplyDelete6 months actually 1:37.
ReplyDeleteCongress should not be the recipient of any health care benefits over and above those of the common citizen unless they pay full freight for it. If it's good enough for the voter, it's good enough for the Congress.
ReplyDeleteMember of Congress should be mandated to get all of their healthcare at VA hospitals and clinics, unless they wanted to pay out-of-pocket for those services.
ReplyDeleteWe'd be sure to see some changes in VA levels of care and performance if congressmen and women were direct recipients.
2:12 that's right, Obamacare has only existed for 2 months.
ReplyDelete2:03 he really drained the swamp when he appointed more business CEO's and wall streeters to federal positions than any other president in history eh?
ReplyDelete3:36 yes he is. No career politicians. I would put billionaires in my cabinet too. Should we put people like you in a presidents cabinet? Can you even balance your checkbook,eh?
DeleteHe's repeating it so that we don't forget. The media doesn't cover this kind of stuff unless they're Trump tweets.
ReplyDeleteGo president Trump the quicker the better. Make them pay their fare share they want every body else to do. If we don't produce on our job we are punished. Take their benefits one by one and make it permanent, until they start working instead of lining their pockets. A benefit is not a guarantee in private industry or state government and can be taken / altered at any time. Ask MD State Employees about all these years they have been mandated salary reduction days, in other words you had to take off with out pay for as many as 1 - 2 weeks a year and higher benefit cost including their increase share / contributions to their retirement that everybody thinks is free.
ReplyDeleteI'm backing up having all government officials participating in whatever health care plan is in place including Trump on down to Joe Lunchbox.
ReplyDeleteAnd it shouldn't be related to pay scale either. Choices for all and bargaining available, prices posted online for all.
Time to get real and up front, Bozo!
