7:38, it has to be confirmed by the National Weather Service before any news or weather outlet can refer to it as a tornado. Until then, it remains as a "possible tornado".
I believe it's based on the wind damage and not how well formed the funnel is. This guy caught the tail end of the tornado crossing 13. It continued across the SU sports field and into a residential community. I have been through a lot of hurricanes but the damage I saw today was WAY stronger. When it picks up a crown Vic and flips it onto another car, tears roofs off and snaps light posts in half, that is a tornado.
Fake Jake Day was eating up this attention like he was some big celebrity today. The funny thing is none of this was really in the Salisbury City Limits but he took the attention for it. Just because the Zip Code was a Salisbury Zip Code doesn't mean it is Salisbury Proper. Jake Day should have deferred this to the appropriate county officials instead of acting like he is the County Executive.

I think it is strange where this event happened...large gust of wind deflected by the large structures at SU whipped into a funnel...seems plausible to me.
I thought the same thing. How stupid to keep driving toward a tornado and through debris one has left behind. Pull over, use your flashers and call 911.
Now if he had just turned that dash cam to the left, he could have actually (maybe) confirmed an actual tornado, with cars flying through the air, and perhaps Dorothy's cow, and a witch on her broom.
Mr. Albero, Thank you for sharing my video. As far as these comments a couple has made me laugh. Adrenaline was definitely flowing, I was not schetlin my pants. This was filmed using my cell phone and not a dashcam. As far as pulling over with flashers on doesn't seem to have been the safest thing considering a Crown Vic was rolled with driver in it. There was no tornado warning severe thunderstorm yes. I did not expect to catch the storm in the video it just so happens I did.
And yet with the overwhelming evidence, WBOC still refuses to admit it was a tornado! They screwed up big time and still won't admit it!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry but I cant believe these people are still driving in this I would have pulled over somewhere wow !

ReplyDeletethanks Edward "bet you was" schetlin your pants!
ReplyDelete7:38 What overwhelming evidence, I see the beginning of rotation but not a tornado.

ReplyDeleteI believe that the tornado was sent by God to go down that path where it did across from SU
