Q: I know that too much sugar in my diet is a bad idea, but I get awful sugar cravings, and don’t know how to fight them. I want to take steps to lower my sugar intake, and to diminish cravings.
Is there a supplement I can take to help reduce the cravings?
A: First, let’s have a frank discussion about sugar. Sugar is one of the most addictive substance on the planet. We used to think it was cocaine, but sugar has that beat! This is why, as with any addiction, complete avoidance is warranted.
The most effective way to beat sugar cravings first and foremost, is abstinence. You probably don’t believe it now, but eliminating sugar entirely can greatly reduce the false hunger we call craving—if you let it. Enough time must pass for cravings to relent, and everyone responds differently..

First, read every label and completely eliminate high fructose corn syrup from your diet, which is just as addicting but more dangerous than sugar, according to new studies. Once the HFCS is eliminated from the diet, some cravings can decrease in both intensity and frequency, making it easier to address the sugar intake as a single issue.

You will feel SO MUCH BETTER after you have gotten off this poison.
Remember when you are tempted that sugar is killing you slowly (or maybe NOT so slowly) .
How much longer do you want to live?
I couldn't quit smoking until I went cold turkey, smoke free now 20 years it took about a year until I was totally over it to the point I couldn't stand to be around it. If you are really addicted to sugar it will take time but I'm sure it can be done.
ReplyDeleteA good method to get off sugar is to use the chemical weapons available in "sugar free" products.
ReplyDeleteThe artificial sweeteners will kill you if you consume them for long periods of time, but for a few months they will allow you to get off of sugar addiction. Giving up the artificial sweeteners is much easier than giving up sugar and high fructose corn syrup.
Just a thought. I did it and it worked beautifully for me.
