A new bill being considered by the California State Senate would punish people who “willfully and repeatedly” refuse “to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns” in a public health, retirement or housing institution.
The bill, SB 219, was proposed by State Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco). It includes several other provisions that require a health facility, for example, to honor the gender identity of a patient, meaning that the patient must be admitted to a room that comports with his or her chosen gender; allowed to use whatever bathroom he or she wants to use; and wear whatever clothing or cosmetics he or she decides to wear. It has gone through several amendments.
CBN News notes: “Fines for repeat offenders could be as high as $1,000 and a jail term of up to a year.”
CBN also reports the testimony of the California Family Council’s Greg Burt:

And now starts the end of free speech and individual thought. If the liberals can't get their way by vote or court they will take it by force. 'Right speak' or we take your money and your freedom away!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone remember these people, Stalin, Castro, Mao Tse Tung, Hitler, Mussolini?
We are in deep trouble.
ReplyDeleteCalifornia is BILLIONS in debt. THEY think this is what is more important than anything else. How much time and money did the taxpayers lose as their "leaders" played around with this issue?
Orwell was a prophet.
Keep cheering.
Well now this takes the cake. I say let the moon bats secede and go their separate way.
ReplyDeletePutting crazy into law
ReplyDeleteAlways knew California was the most liberal state in the union. But this is just insane. A fine and jail time for calling a man he or a woman she. There must be some sane people in California that would oppose this. I know I would take it all the way to the supreme court if necessary.
ReplyDeleteJust like the former Soviet Union
ReplyDeleteWe really need them to secede!
ReplyDeleteThis is laughable. These people are certifiable! Not electable!
ReplyDeleteGeorge Orwell's 1984 should be required reading for all high school students and it should be discussed and debated throughly especially the part where he talks about changing the language so there are actually no words to describe certain actions or thoughts. The next thing the left loonies will want to do is burn the older history books that most older citizens used in school. When all the statues are down the books are next and since so much is recorded electronically now total distruction can be done by a simple key stroke. Just ask Hillary.
ReplyDeleteThis can not be serious... there is just no way. Flat out unconstitutional.
ReplyDeleteThe "big one" needs to happen in Californication sooner than later....
ReplyDeleteI am I the only one that's not surprised that this bill was proposed by a guy from the PRSF(people's republic of San Francisco)?
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that isn't surprised about this bill being brought up by a guy(excuse the offensive gender pronoun ) from PRSF(people's republic of San Francisco)?
