The briefings will simulcast on Periscope and Facebook, and will be archived after the fact for those who are unable to view live. Citizens are encouraged to participate online. Questions will be taken from the public via Facebook and Periscope comments sections and will be answered live.
“Access to accurate, relevant information is key to helping people feel safe in their communities,” said Mayor Day. “We have always striven for transparency—whether by leading the way as one of the first agencies to voluntarily embrace body camera technology, or by having the Chief of Police and other City leaders meet with stakeholders in neighborhoods throughout Salisbury—our goal has been cooperation and the open sharing of information. Now we are ready to lead once again, as we become one of the first municipalities to establish this sort of interactive dialogue with our citizens over live stream.”
WHAT: Weekly Safety Briefing
WHEN: Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
Publishers Notes: If you attempt to view any of this on your cell phone it will immediately wipe out all of your data. If you try to watch it on line it gets extremely annoying as it lags so often it just ticks you off.
For a guy who claims SBYNews doesn't get the traffic we say we do, he sure is going through a lot of trouble to act like President Trump, which is perfectly fine with me because no one will watch what Jake has to say anyway. By the way Jake, I don't know who you are trying to impress but I saw your press conference yesterday and the first thing a female said to me is, why does he wear spandex dress pants. Too damn funny, but true.
No thanks, cannot trust you people.
ReplyDeleteDon't compare Jake Day to Trump.
ReplyDeleteSeems like anyone I spoke to knew nothing about it. But thats the bury way. Pretend like you are doing something for the public and being transparent, but just not telling them about it until it is over.
ReplyDeleteI saw the press conference and though he came across as a bumbling idiot. All he focused on was the cost. wth?
ReplyDeleteThe only we can feel safe is letting law enforcement do their job. No smack on the wrist and then out on the streets. We need judges who sentence people to the max..Lawyers need to obey the law , how can they knowing let people go free for $$$$.
ReplyDeletehe hashtagged you in the prince st debris clean up schedule post.
ReplyDeleteI don't care what they do, there's no possible way WBOC, WMDT or the DT's can ever be revived, seriously.
ReplyDeleteThey are liberal organizations, (just like Day) and they make far too much money off the City/County to ever publish bad news. Just take RAPES as an example, or hey, even murders now.
The City has gone through incredible lengths to hush up the most recent infant murder but what everyone needs to to for a FACT is that now there are more rapes and murders already into 2017 then all of 2016. YET CRIME IS DOWN!
SBYNews is now over 2,000,000 hits per month on average and guess what, you can combine ALL of the rest of the news media here and they won't deliver HALF of what we do every month.
People come here because they want the TRUTH. Because we deliver REAL TIME factual and documented information that no one can refute.
Salisbury News IS Delmarva's News Leader, period. Oh, and we couldn't care less about collecting advertising revenue from the City or County and NO ONE is going to pressure us into what we publish.
So if you don't use twitter or facebook you are SOL. Way to serve only PART of the people shakey jakey
ReplyDeleteThey will ba archieved, so there will be evidence of the lies he tells at election. Bingo!
ReplyDeleteThe only way to fix crime is to make the necessary changes in SPD's department heads. Jake will never do it and that is the only way we will eventually regain control of crime in this city.

ReplyDeletePertinent question: Can the people he has blocked still view his PR exercise?
(Doesn't affect me personally; just curious about the technology).
Neither Trump nor Day need to be on social media. They have important jobs to do and twitter takes away from that.
ReplyDelete12:09 PM NO they can not, which means they can sue him.
ReplyDeleteWhen i see Jake Day grinning in front of a camera my first thought is, damn, i bet he could build a nice dam.
ReplyDeleteCan you say TORNADO yet Jake? Where are your pictures helping the citizens in the Princeton Homes area, where are your pictures even offering assistance or correct info--no body cares for what you say you're going to do, when there is a need you are no where around.
ReplyDelete1241 if Trump didn't use social media, we would have no idea what's going on because MSM isn't telling people the news. They're too busy chasing grasshoppers in the rainbow meadow. Please get up with current news and understanding. Your comment makes you look like a schmuck.
ReplyDeletewhat if you don't have internet & facebook? TMI on there & is NOT always accessable.
ReplyDeleteNot everyone has a computer & is online.
IF there was NO CRIME, why would you need this, whatever it is, to tell people how to be safe? And tips on ........lol
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for you people that have to live in that poophole. Smallsbury's best days are well behind, never to return. Keep electing those demoncrats. You get what you pay for.
