Well, the democrats are at it again with the "throw granny over the cliff" and the people are going to die without Obamacare mantra. Of course people are going to die! People die every day. It is a fact of life. And, people die with or without Obamacare. This is an insane conjecture. This is irresponsibility, pure and simple, from the party who lamented we need to pass it to see what is in it and the now infamous lies of if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor and if you like your plan you can keep your plan. The democrats are clueless and in their minds only one option, single payer socialized medicine.
ANON 7:51AM: "The democrats are clueless and in their minds only one option, single payer socialized medicine."
I respectfully disagree. I think Democrat elites are fully aware what single-payer socialized medicine is all about and it's a way to control the masses. It's in the Alinksy rule book. They are pushing it as a way to bring the country to a dictatorial society rather than a republic.
The founding fathers never meant to have this country be anything close to a dictator-run government. In fact, they took extra precautions to avoid just that when writing the Constitution and designing the three but separate powers with clear divisions between them. George Washington was the first and most reluctant president because he saw the executive branch as straying closer to a dictator than he cared to entertain.
The problem is the masses don't understand the manipulation and some have voted for slavery through voting for government plantation living. Cradle to grave dependency breeds a master/servant continuum. Like I said on the CNN post, it's the lack of education which is at the base root of this issue. Everything spawns from that deficiency.
Obamacare didn't change that. Repeal, reform, or replacement won't change it either; we will all die.
But paying astronomical sums just to have 'coverage' and unholy deductibles and co-pays are Obamacare features we didn't have before and don't want going forward. It's gotta go.
It's a complicated topic but a lot of the complexity is due to Obamacare's planned 'features' which are designed to ensnare.
Healthcare is simply the lastest incarnation of the housing bubble! "Everyone must have health insurance"! It all seems like a scheme to me.
We need a complete repeal of the system and go back to the old system. I have no issues with setting up a system to help those who insurance companies won't insure by offering to offset some of the costs. But don't force insurance on everyone. For those who choose to opt out of insurance, that is on them. If they become sick and it bankrupts them then it is there own fault, not mine.
From what little I think I know about bammy care and from the few people I know who have it, a lot of doctors/hospitals don't take/accept it, it is too expensive to use it, high deductibles, limited practitioners, etc.
So what good is ANY insurance if you can't use it?
