FREDERICK, Md. —Maryland's first medical marijuana dispensary is open for business.
State regulators are giving the Wellness Institute of Maryland in Frederick the green light to open, even though the medicinal marijuana will not be available for months.
Granting a dispensing license is a major milestone for the state's controversial program, which is being challenged by two lawsuits over how the state chose which firms to license. So far, the state is giving the green light to just one grower.
The plant medicine is expected to be available sometime between Labor Day and Halloween.

ReplyDeleteThere will still be a black market for drugs.
ReplyDeleteWell now , this is a fine howdy do , my doctor said this whole drug epidemic is way out of hand. We give methadone as a remedy for heroin , methadone is just as addictive. It's all about money , methadone is supplied by people in the health dept. and we pay for this crap through taxes . All we are doing is inviting more drug use. Half my neighbors are on free methadone WTF .
ReplyDeleteIt's like telling the alcoholic to drink wine rather than whiskey , political correctness at it's best.
